Vacations Close To The Holburne Museum

Very clean rooms. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and delicious!

It was an overall ok experience. Given that this is a 5-star property, I did expect a more grand experience. We are supposed to have still or sparkling water in the room and each day the still water was not replenished. We had to call several times to have it brought specifically to the room and each time were questioned as to whether we check the room first. Worse, each time we had to call multiple times because we would wait only to not have it arrive. Each time totaled more than an hour. We also never received a turn down service, which is one of the best features in European hotels. The breakfast buffet was fine, although it did not include porridge/oatmeal which is a standard everywhere. It’s a beautiful property but is very standard/basic. I wouldn’t stay again when there are so many incredible 5-star hotels in the same vicinity of the city.

Great location, nice room with good facilities including tv air con, kettle and bottled water. Stayed on top floor which wasnt easy to navigate with a case. As far as im aware I wasnt warned of this in advance. Otherwise a pleasant stay

Deliberately falsely advertised as a hotel with swimming pool, gym, parking etc. But it was only a 3 bed end of terrace house with no signs to state it was B &B. Business room selected but we got a tiny room with No facilities! No room TV, No Tea making facilities, No en-suite, no chairs, no table, etc. There was only one bathroom shared with 3 bedrooms! No free parking so we had to park on the payment risking a parking fine. No swimming pool or gym or restaurant on site! You had to travel over a mile to find them! Sleep was interrupted by planes from Heathrow airport! Do not even think about staying here!!! 100% unsatisfactory! We are so upset, outraged and disappointed.

Nice staff

We were there for 13 nights. We saw Mo at check-in and check-out. Be aware that if you are elderly or have mobility issues this may not be the place for you. Our first room was on the top floor but Mo arranged to move us one floor down. Even then there were 64 stairs to climb and my wife and I are in our late 70's. This was a large strain on us even though we are reasonably fit. We had to think twice about going out for a short walk. The suite is basically appointed. A place to sleep, sit and eat. The bed was comfortable but the UK king promised is more like a Canadian queen bed. The a/c worked well as did the fridge. We did not use the cook top although it looked perfectly adequate. The washer/dryer and other appliances worked well. The building is very quiet.
