Maaaannnn. Was this place gross. Bathroom smelled like pee, towels stained, bathtub disgusting and crusty. Carpets were gross. Didn’t want to walk without foot protection or touch anything too much. Overall vibe 0/10. BUT! No bugs that we could see, air conditioning worked good, staff was nice, car wasn’t broken into the next morning, and it was a bed to sleep in when we needed one. So, do with that what you will. We will probably upgrade on our next trip though Texarkana.

Pros: Beds were comfortable and shower was hot. Cons: property was not well maintained. Parking lot needed repair and everything was overgrown. The elevators were sketchy, control panel out in one and the doors slammed shut. The air freshener in the hall was so over powering, almost hard to breath. Made me wonder what smell was trying to be covered up. The room was so musty when we walked in. The floors were not clean and the tub floor was dirty. The tub filled with water while showering, drain clogged. Mini fridge wasn't cold so we left our stuff in the cooler thinking we'd fill up with ice in the morning, but the ice maker in the hall didn't work. Didn't even try the breakfast, we were just ready to get out of there in the morning. Was trying to save a little money on our road trip, but will spend the extra money next time and stay somewhere else.

I will not recommend the Wyndham Texarkana, Tx. hotel to anyone. The lobby was clean and well-lit and the receptionist was welcoming. The room had a damp musty smell. The toilet seat was broken--hanging on by one screw with mold build-up in the bowl. Urine stains were on the floor. Counter tops had not been cleaned. We used sanitized wipes to scrub the bathroom floor and other surfaces and wiped down tables, counters, and desktops. There was dirt build up in all corners and on the floor under surfaces. The told me she had bug bites from bed bugs the morning we checked. We stayed two nights and the room was not cleaned the first day. We got extra towels for our second day baths. I will never use this hotel again in Texarkana and ask family to avoid it.

First and foremost, the staff here is absolutely wonderful. The manager (shoutout to Sandy!) was incredibly warm and welcoming throughout the duration of our stay. The hotel itself is a little rundown in places—the elevator especially—but seemed to be undergoing renovation while we were there. No complaints at all regarding breakfast; the menu is fresh and full of variety. Overall, I’d say this hotel is a solid place to spend the night.

Check in was fine. Got off the elevator on our floor to a pile of swept up trash. No one picked it up until the next day. The room was clean on the surface. I dropped a card and bent to pick it up and found trash under the dresser. This included a dried up piece of fruit. Looking further, there were gummies just under the bed and trash under every table in the room including the bathroom. The cleaning crew needs a little training on what should be checked.

Hotels under renovations which is not disclosed until check in. Indoor pool and hot tub were closed which was the reason for choosing this hotel. Elevator looked unsafe because of no railings and torn flooring. First room was cold and many of the electrical outlets did not work correctly. 2nd room the heat worked and was adequate. The staff was very friendly and tried their best to accommodate because of renovations. It’s also not in the best area.

I called prior to making the reservation online and the person I spoke to stated the pool/spa was opened. After reserving online and checking in the pool and spa is not available and the hotel as whole is dirty and looks like it’s falling apart. I am very upset and should get a refund since the only reason we booked the rooms was for the pool and spa.
