“Another nice stay at the Kingscliff Hotel. Easy check in - with a very helpful Italian lady - friendly and efficient. Parking at the rear of the hotel (included if you are a guest). Enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant. Good selection of food. Hotel room very nice with a good shower. The only negative for me was I arrived back at the hotel after a night out in Frinton at 10:15 and went to the bar for a gin and tonic as a night cap. “Whilst I probably wouldn’t have booked it if I’d realised it had no parking, the actual hotel was great.”

“It was very shabby and it smelt bad. It is conveniently situated for the centre of Clacton but it was very noisy and so I didn't sleep well. There was very little space in the bathroom. They don't do breakfasts so I had to schlep round town in the heat trying to find somewhere. On a positive note the gentleman was very friendly and welcoming when I checked in.”

“I stayed at this hotel for three nights and had a pleasant stay. The room was clean and tidy. Although there isn’t any air conditioning, there is a fan. I didn’t miss having air conditioning, as the room didn’t get too hot, even though I was staying on the top floor. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. “Simple, easy, cosy stay, in a nice part of town too!”

“Whilst the room was clean enough, it was very basic. No head board, poor mattress and 1 coat hanger to hang the clothes (on the back of the door) for 2 people staying in a twin room for 2 nights. Again, the bathroom was clean although there was little to no pressure in the shower and the sink tap came off in my hand.”

“Really comfortable bed. Super clean. Great for a couple of nights stay. Close to the University to meet up with our daughter. Would recommend the Beth Chatto Garden near by for a visit. ”

“Reception was an easy check in, no lift to second floor, no help with suitcase. Room was spacious and had everything I needed fan iron tea making things (no dcaff options). Breakfast was basic again no dcaff options (i did ask for dcaff t bags and was told on order) they never appeared, gluten free options very basic no GF bread, the sausage were not nice, menu choices for dinner again very poor I had chips because only option, all staff were lovely.
