Lovely hotel, very friendly staff. The grounds were beautiful and a lovely walk by the river straight into ironbridge. Breakfast was great lots of choice and excellent quality 👌 The old bad thing was the matress was not very comfortable very lumpy.

Lovely hotel with amazing food. A+++

Booked this hotel as part of a short getaway break. Great location for walking around Ironbridge, plenty of space for parking and the hotel is lovely. The food was exceptional and if we ever visit this area again we will most certainly try and book a room here.

Our stay was very enjoyable and made extra special by the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. Our rooms and the general cleanliness of the hotel was very good. an excellent weekend and we would fully recommend.

Nice hotel close to all local attractions

Fab overnight stay during the half term. Only reason i knocked a point off was the lack of natural light but I liked everything else about the hotel. Staff were great, the food really good and easy walk to all local attractions. Would definitely recommend.

Bank Holiday stay

Very nice few days , staff extremely friendly, breakfast excellent. Hotel could do with fresh decor in places and a lift would improve it but overall good, nicely located just outside Ironbridge but within walking distance of the town centre. Outside terrace ideal for a drink and good walking park

A return visit

The hotel is a great base for visiting this part of Shropshire and just a 5 minute walk to THE Ironbridge and the shops. Ample parking. Lovely gardens. Friendly staff. It is old - hence the gorgeous tiles on the ground floor but rooms are rather small and dark as a result. That having been said , we would almost certainly stay there again if we return.

Croydon holidaymakers enjoy best Ironbridge hotel

Stayed at Ironbridge Valley Hotel 17/9/23 to 23/9/23. We’ve been to many hotels together over the last 8 years and have never been more pleased, the staff were amazing and the food terrific so we dined in the on-site restaurant every evening. We were very impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of the restaurant staff with a special mention to the young members who were superb. We seem to to read nothing but negative news about our 16 to 18 year olds in U K but the young staff were particularly good, they were all helpful, polite, good humoured and efficient, an absolute credit to Valley Hotel. That’s not to say the slightly older members of staff were not wonderful, they were ! We cannot recommend this hotel more highly,11 out of 10. Many Thanks from 4 happy visitors

Upon arrival there was no receptionist to greet us and another guest went to retrieve someone from the staff party who wasn’t officially working. We therefore weren’t given our vouchers and a full check in. The hotel was clean enough but freezing, Ourselves and other guests were very cold. We were told it was due to the hotel being closed over Christmas and it needed to warm up. Whilst I understand that, maybe the building should be preheated for the comfort of its guests and staff. It made for freezing showers, cold rooms and cold dining. The breakfast was very nice and quick service. There is no extraction in the bathroom leaving puddles of condensation. Beautiful area and walks around with an antique fair and museum nearby which was an enjoyable couple of hours and free entry.

The staff very helpful. Restaurant very good. The shower needed replacing, they had not replaced the leaking shower head but did when we requsted it. The bath was very deep to step into . Realistically the bathroom needs re vampng. The electric shower unit barely worked. There was very little tea and coffee left n the room although when asked thet supplied more. There were no mint teas or earl grey. A small fridge for the room would be an advantage. Thank you for fan and comfortable beds.

Avoid unless you love a Brexit simulator

The hotel was a bit dated, the room the size of my suitcase with a lovely view of the kitchen fans (witch were very noicy). Luckily was there only for one night and had noise cancelling head phones, so blasting music at loud volume almost managed to drown out the buildings noises. Worst was the complete lack of WIFI which was annoying for business visitor at an area which as notoriously bad phone signal to boot. Service did disappoint as could not have breakfast between 0745 and 0845 as too full.. and dinner was unavailable too for hotel guests, but luckily booked the table online (at hotel restaurant) and managed to get in that way. Definitely not staying there again.

Disappointing Stay

1. Food in restaurant was over priced. 2. The surfaces in the bedroom were sticky. 3. Room 33. Window was small and couldnt be opened fully so the room became stuffy and hot. You could hear adjoining residents who were very noisy due to thin walls. 4. You couldnt stand under the shower because of the sloping roof. Ridiculous! 5. No pictures of this room are shown online. Ive checked. I would not have booked this hotel if I had seen this room. 6. Hotel is in a great location.
