Great location making it easy to walk around town. Good room size with lots of room for suitcases/bags. Parking was very easy and accessible and the restaurant provided an excellent breakfast buffet.

This is the perfect location! Rooms were clean and spacious in the suite. I loved the shower and water pressure in the room. Breakfast was okay… but convenient as we left early in the morning. I would stay here again. The location is PERFECT

Andy, not sure if the owner or manager or both but is a great host. The place is right on the ocean with great views and a nice restaurant next door where we had dinner. Very hospitable and helped us out with changing travel plans.

Nice location, near lake

Room was adequate. Bed was too soft. Good location for day trip to Milford Sound. Nearby restaurants fill up fast, best to make a reservation.

Would have been good if reception had informed us of the nights that the carvery restaurant was open when we arrived, we missed out because our first night was the only one they operated during our stay and we didn't ask until the next day. It was clean and comfortable, although a little dated

The property is very tired and attention to detail is just not there. Our power went out on the first night for an hour or so and there was no communication, nor an offer for any compensation or even an apology. The room is also the first room I have stayed in the was not air conditioned. The bathroom was really nice and clean, but the bed spreads were stained and horrible. The included breakfast was quite average. Overall they are relying on the tourist trade for this below average hotel.

Beds were not clean, had to ask to get the sheets changed. Desk and tv cabinet required cleaning as food was left on them.

The first impression was poor as a lobby was very dated, and when we went to room 170 it was very dark and the outside of the building looked old. It appears they renovated the rooms. However, the carpet was soiled within the first 3 feet of the room and the bathroom had hair on the floor which is unacceptable. it was a very dark room as one wall was a slider out to the car park and the other wall had a window out to the street so the drapes had to be closed all the time The big disappointment was it looked a lot better online than it did in person. I would not recommend this to a friend.
