It was a house boat on a marina, but the beach was less than 1 mile away. The bar in the marina was great. Loads of great guests and locals mixing. Wish the lonely food truck had a better selection. The staff was top notch. Saw A big croc by our boat the last night. And a little nurse shark the day we checked in.

We were happy with our stay in the Manatee. We were celebrating a 50th birthday on a girls' trip and it was the perfect place for it. It's in a great location, and listening to the water lapping beneath us as we slept was lovely. We spent time enjoying the sun on the rooftop. Our only complaint (and definitely not your fault) was that we were there during the cold snap and there were no extra blankets. We went out and bought blankets so we could sleep at night in the unseasonably cold weather. I just suggest that you have some blankets for use during chillier times. There is no heat on the houseboat (I'm sure it would be seldom used). My other suggestion would be that you post a couple of things in the bathroom. First, there were five of us there and only one could shower (and a short one) at a time. If we waited 45 minutes or so, another could shower. Maybe if you had signage that indicated that. We supplemented by going to the shower by the pool. (Not convenient.) Second, post that no hairdryers or curling tools may be used on the houseboat. The info is in the check-in information, but I'm sure could be easily overlooked upon arriving. Overall, we had a delightful stay :).

Loved staying here with my boys. The boat house experience was great and comfortable. But the best was the beach bar on the marina where the kids could play games, swim in the pool and I could relax with a drink. Will stay here again!

Really nice visit.

All three adults enjoyed our stay. The beds were very comfortable. The back deck was delightful. The people that work there are very friendly and helpful. You are close to other boats but no one was loud. I’m a light sleeper so I wore ear plugs. There is a place to eat, soft live music and drinks next door. I would stay here again.

Family Weekend

We normally stay in hotel rooms when we travel, so we thought it would be fun to try a house boat when I saw the option. We had all the comforts that a hotel provides, but with a way cooler atmosphere. Our only disappointment it that we didn't stay long enough to try the pool and restaurant. Good experience. We'd stay again.

Great place for a family!

Loved it here!! Aimee reached out to us ahead of time to make sure we understood all of their policies, and find out if we would be checking in late or not, and then confirmed with a phone call the day of. The houseboat was clean, with a small kitchenette (microwave, fridge, sink, dishes). A/C was already going! The towels were brand new and the view was exactly what we were looking for- a calm, peaceful marina with gentle waves lapping at the docks and the sunset on full display. Walking distance to the Blonde Giraffe Key Lime Factory, and a short drive to the Winn-Dixie. Plenty of places to eat nearby, or well equipped to eat a quiet meal in. Definitely will recommend to friends and family!

The house boat has a good location, located at the end of the dock however it does serve as a buffer for high winds and wavy seas so you will experience a lot more than other houseboats located interior to this one. Also, you’re basically in a tin can as far as the walls where you can hear everything and all the neighbors can hear you. We do like all the separate living spaces and how they are utilized really nicely. Decker is up-to-date and amenities provided inside of the houseboat are what you would expect. We did have issues initially connecting the TV in the evening time to get it working properly, but Aimee the manager was easy to get a hold of after hours and talk to us through getting everything working properly. We are a family of four with two teenagers and had plenty of space to put our two teams in the loft area that has twin beds and for us to stay in the bedroom and during the daytime enjoy the living area when we were actually in the houseboat and not driving around the sightseeing.
