Was a bit pricey for what it was tbh. Was advertised as a resort but was more like a motor lodge. Modernised inside but the spa area out back could do with an update and spas where you could control the temperature. Owners were very friendly tho. Thanks for the stay.

Very clean room, with lake view. Comfortable hearing the heavy rain during the night. Very cozy. The only complaint was the noisy neighbors who came in late and talked very loudly for a while, then were up very early talking close to our door. That was people related, not the lodgings fault.

It was one of the best stays in NZ we had. The owners are lovely, even gave us homemade cookies at check-in. The private hot tub/pool is just amazing after a day out in cold winter days. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, comfy beds with heating blankets, everything is spotless clean. Just across the street is Lake Taupo with a great jogging track into the town center.
