Good location, within walking distance to Taupo town centre (10-15 mins). We had a room with a view of lake Taupō and a private hot springs tub. Really enjoyed the communal outdoor pool area as well. Toasty warm water. Great to have some kitchen space with onsite laundry & BBQ if you need it. Very clean & well maintained property overall.

While the facilities are a little older everything worked. A couple of things like the toilet paper holder and sink stopper were broken. The unit was clean and comfortable. The big issue was parking. Unless you got one of the prime spots it was a very tight back and forth between other vehicles, the building and a partially obscured incline. We had a small Toyota Corolla and could only squeeze between the building and another vehicle but couldn't open the door enough to get out. Get there early.

The room had a kitchen and small dining area like an apartment. They had a washer and dryer so it was super convenient. There was a nice view of Lake Taupo. Parking was tight but did not have difficulty finding a space. Staff was professional but not as warm as others. However, it was very private and we would stay again.
