Great location, and staff very well managed seamless check in.
A great Country Pub in the centre of a lovely village. Rooms are quaint and a little quirky, Restaurant is superb. Although restaurant not open for breakfast, the "Bear" opposite serves a nice one.
Nice quiet area. Bedroom was clean and comfortable. Bar and restaurant area nicely furnished. Evening meals were very nice. All staff were very friendly and helpful.
Room was pleasant; large bed and bathroom. Could do with making sure that all lights are working (just a small point). Checking in was smooth and the proprietor was really welcoming and helpful. Cozy. WiFi was free with Netflix - Amazing. Will visit again. Thanks.
We only stayed for the one night but was ideal. Breakfast wasn't available due to staff shortage but the Bear over the road was available.
Very quirky, but very clean and comfortable rooms.
Exceptional break. Very friendly staff, excellent beer and food. Good conversation and company with all. Wivey was a dream location in the beautiful Somerset Hills. A visit to the nearby Torre cider farm is a must. Also Watchet and Dunster Castle, village and gardens.
The manager was very accommodating when I made a mistake with a last minute booking and had to ring to re-arrange. Stayed on a Thursday night as a dog-friendly stop off on way to Cornwall. The family room we stayed in was a decent size and suited us perfectly. The pub itself has a charming layout, the staff and locals friendly. Decent food and drink too - we stayed for “burger night” and the chicken fajita burger was spot on. No breakfast but the pub across the road did a good cooked breakfast.
The one thing that would of made it better would have been to be able to order a meal on Sunday evening when we arrived, instead we were informed that the restaurant do not open on Sunday evening’s. It would have been nice to have known this before hand.
Other than that a very nice place to stay.
Me and my lads staid for a couple of nights as we were working nearby. Friendly staff, nice rooms, good food and cold beer.

Unfortunately due to the owner’s personal situation, no breakfast was available on site but the pub opposite served tasty food with friendly service.

Positives ... Great with the dogs and food was delicious . Good base for exploring Devon .
Negatives... Was disappointed with cleanliness of the rooms and also not serving breakfast . Could have been difficult for us finding somewhere to eat that accepted dogs and at short notice with the Covid restrictions , but luckily the pub opposite was obliging . Not much in the area, and Car park to accommodation was very busy and we struggled to park at times.
Room was generally good but shower was a bit of a drizzle. Maybe it was because we were staying on the top floor.. staff friendly..nice new outside garden area ... beer and evening meal was good.
