Room had been modernised and was very clean and pleasant. Abundance of hot water for the shower. Staff all very pleasant and helpful. A limited menu but well cooked and enjoyable. Only downside is hotel situated on A39 and the traffic started at 5 am

Nice comfortable room with adequate facilities in room. Not a lover of toilet brushes and the one in the bathroom was sitting in goodness knows what and noticed it as soon as entered the bathroom as the holder was clear - not nice. No tv remote in room and to be fair we didn’t request one during the stay as we got back late and didn’t notice until ready for bed and would have had to walk into the bar area!

I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. The staff alone make this a place worth staying at. Nicky, behind the bar, was so welcoming and even offered us a lift back from a wedding we were attending. And the breakfast is first class!
