Generous breakfast with variety. Cooked breakfasts with quality ingredients and delicious. Large rooms with comfortable bed. Clean and comfortable.

English breakfast is excellent. Staff is very friendly. The shower screen is only half way so water sprays outside to the wall and floor. The firedoor upstairs at the top of the stairs is kept open and the firedoor along the corridor doesn't close properly. These need attention for fire regulations.

The hotel was in a good location next to the station and just outside of town. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly and helpful. We were put in the wrong room initially which was an administrative oversight by either Expedia or the hotel. The only pain was the hotel was locked at 8 pm and you have to use the ring doorbell, we were outside for some time and I had to ring the hotel to get someone to open the door. They could give a front door key on your fob

The hotel is in an amazing listed building with many fascinating historic artifacts, conveniently located next to Taunton Railway Station and with excellent road access, the staff are all very friendly and helpful, the rooms are warm and well equipped.

Late evening book in welcomed, felt a little chilled, bit noisy through the night and difficult to fill the kettle, used a small glass in the end. Breakfast was freshly cooked but sadly just warm when we received it. The room was clean and tidy, staff lovely and nice service. Was only there fora few hours so did not want to raise any complaints.

This is a lovely hotel friendly staff who go out of their way to help you ..beautifully decorated and lovely and clean..good choice of breakfast foods with poached eggs to die for.. theres also a choice of pastries

The hotel is conveniently located immediately opposite Taunton railway station. All staff were friendly and professional, and my room was comfortable and quiet despite the proximity to the railway.

What a find! Brilliant place to stay opposite the train station and 10 minutes walk from the county cricket ground! Excellent restaurants nearby too. Not for profit charity run in aid of YMCA so nice to give back something. Couldn’t fault it. Breakfast lovely too.

Great service from the team. Didn’t realise when booking that the hotel is owned by the YMCA and operated as a social enterprise. Brilliant to see a hotel ran by apprentices who clearly have a passion for the hospitality sector. Keep up the good work 👍
