The history of the inn is seen in its architecture and decor. Very clean and staff is personable and helpful. Parking can get muddy when it rains and there is ongoing maintenance needed. The nightly entertainment is wonderful! Taos is an atmosphere and the inn is a part of that’

Staff: the afternoon we arrived, the front desk receptionist was curt and snarky, but perhaps she overwhelmed being the only one at the desk. Rooms: charming, clean and maintained historic flair. Does not include refrigerator, microwave in the room, but microwave and water cooler available off the main lobby. Coffee: complementary 6a-11a in the lobby. Bar: charming, off the lobby, front patio adjacent and cute. Live music nightly. Location: excellent and in the center of town.

We loved the atmosphere of the entire place, especially the music and the bar and the bartender friendly people. The only thing we felt was that the room we had was very very small. We did not expect such a small room. We will come back but we will ask for a different room.

It's a quaint little hotel. Lacked basic essentials like refrigerator, microwave even a coffeepot. Room was kind of small but comfortable. Parking lot flooded and our clothing and shoes never dried out during entire stay. Doc Martin's restaurant was very good but only open in evenings. Happy hour seemed to be a big hit, but we're not drinkers, so not a plus for us. Staff seemed nice and service in the restaurant was exemplary.

This is a great place to stay in Taos. The staff is nice and there is live music every night. The bar needs more wait staff. Getting into parking can be tricky coming from the Pueblo side of town so I suggest going right on Civic Plaza Road, left on Camino de la Placita, then you can go left on Paseo del Pueblo Sur so you can turn right into the little alley back to the parking lot. This keeps you from having to try to cross traffic over the double yellow line and it’s often congested through that part of town.
