The room was dark and needed better lighting. The light in the toilet/shower area was flickering, possibly a short or loose wire. We had to leave early and didn't have a chance to relay the flickering light issue to the staff. Also the 2nd floor railing outside our room #208 seemed wobbly and needed to be stabilized.

Great ski trip stay.

Great location in between angel fire and red river. Cute little town with a few nice restaurants. Hotel owners are managing and struggling finding help but were kind and transparent and friendly. I'd definitely stay again.

OK but many things to be improved

Stay here for one night. The room is spacious but needs to be maintained. The bed cover, sheets and towels have stains. The bathroom is good but no hair dryer is provided. When I entered the room, the table was not cleaned. WiFi did not work during the most time of my stay. Front desk is friendly. Only coffee was provided in the lobby but no breakfast.

I have stayed at this property many times in recent years when I visit Eagle Nest. This time, when I left, I forgot a bag of clothes. I called the property probably 10 times. The phone was never answered and they didn’t return my calls. I Emailed them and texted them. Nothing. I finally got a link to Econo Lodge to fill out a request, which I did. I finally got a a message that said “the items weren’t found”. BS. When I replied to that I got a message that said “You were told how to pay for shipping and you didn’t”. Total BS. I received no message. Even after I had offered numerous times to not only pay for shipping but for their time and effort as well. They kept my clothes because of the numerous Harley T shirts. There are only two people there to run the desk and clean. They will not answer the phone, return an email, text or voicemail. They kept my clothes and to this day won’t respond. I will never stay there again.

I arrived early morning and the manager went out of her way to accommodate us. Our room was clean and the early check in made everything about the trip go smooth. The game room was great, I hadn't played darts in years. This is truly an escape from the city life I can't wait to return to this property. The building is definitely not new but the manager is doing excellent with what she has. She was extremely knowledgeable about the state, surroundings and answered all of the questions we had. I would most absolutely recommend to fellow travelers before believing these other reviews, try for yourself, the staff is awesome and you won't regret it

Reserved over five months in advance. The night before arrival the general manager cancelled reservations for me and a dozen others on our cross country trip. Coincidentally we were sent 25 miles away to an acquaintance motel just opened this week. 25 miles in the cold and dark to meet others is hazardous. I will take my 50 stays a year anywhere but a Quality Inn.

Personally, don’t recommend

If you’re in a pinch looking for a one night stay, it’s fine but I wouldn’t recommend no more than that. Waited 30 minutes before anybody even came up front to check us in upon arriving. Just the appearance from outside of the building to inside of the office to the hotel room itself just did not look clean and maybe it’s because it’s dated.

The beds were so uncomfortable; there was a huge hole in the shower curtain, extremely noisy with other guests just moving, no staff on site or any continental breakfast, refrigerator didn't work, tv didn't work....very expensive for what we received. It was a very unpleasant experience.

This motel is ready for the demolition crew. Outdated, ugly, and the owners know that it is on its last legs, so no upkeep or renovation. We paid almost $160 per night which would seemingly mean that we would get a very decent room and service. It advertised wifi and breakfast and we really had neither. Wifi did not work at our room and the breakfast consisted of coffee, rice krispies or frosted flakes or pop tarts. The bed had an iron bar that stuck out and almost cut my ankle when I bumped into it. No daily maid service. The only good thing was that it was quiet because hardly anyone else was staying there. Wish I had read the reviews before booking. Go somewhere else.

Very challenging stay

New owners took over about six months ago and are working hard to correct everything that fell into disrepair. Upon arrival the TV did not work, there was very little toilet paper, lamps in the room with too few outlets to accommodate needs. The bed was not comfortable. The morning of checkout there was an extreme drop in water pressure. The TV was fixed, but barely had any volume. We had to buy an extension cord and power strip for our phones, etc. I tried to return the door key at 10am before leaving and to ask about the water pressure but lobby was locked and no one to be found.
