You better be prepared to experience possible cable car mishap which was happened to me. On my way down at night, it stopped in the middle of ride. We were in the cable car for about 5 minutes. They didn’t even apologize and no explanation...
Beautiful area, many day excursions available to other sites around and this part if the island. Found some Great restaurants. Can see the sites of the main village in-one day. Some high end shopping but more touristy shops.

It is beautiful, magical, out of a dream! Very nice people who treat you like a relative. I took the train there. The train station is at the bottom - spend the 15-20 euros and arrive in style up top.
Boat tours, shopping and excursions to other Sicilian sites all enjoyable!
