We always stay at this hotel when in Tampa and like the convenient location and homely rooms but this time we noticed the decline in maintenance and cleanliness, especially the elevators that had a very bad smell from possibly pets.

Before you even walk in you will pass a dozen signs demanding you pay for parking in the hotel parking lot. It’s like you get your pockets picked before you even check in. Also, the in-house restaurant/bar is only open certain days. The staff were amazing, the facility is new and clean.

The room was wonderful, but when we checked in we were told that there would be no water in the building for 5 hours in the middle of the day the next day. No warning ahead of time and no compensation offered. Also, we did not expect to have to pay for parking in this area of town. I’d stay again because the room was very spacious and comfortable, and assuming the water issue wouldn’t be a problem in a future stay.
