Great roadside motel. Stayed 5 nights for an event in Lakeland. Plenty of places to walk to near the hotel for food and entertainment. Felt like a very safe area. We plan on coming back. My only criticism, and it's a small one, is that the curtain over the window doesn't block out much light.

Staff is very nice and check in area was welcoming. The location of the hotel is convenient for many things. Hotel grounds are well maintained and clean. The room was comfortable, clean and did not have that antiseptic smell that many motel rooms gave. Housekeeping staff was more than helpful. Beds and pillows very comfortable. I enjoyed basing myself out of the Rodestar for three days. Yes, I will stay here again. The breakfast was very nice. Good choices and attentive staff kept it stocked and fresh
