Staff was nice, room was clean, except we kept running out of toiletries. Also, people screaming/yelling trying to unlock our room in the night wasn’t the best experience. Keep in mind we were 2 young women in there. Looks nice in the night, but needs some maintenance to look cleaner in the day, we were worried we got scammed the first day we walked in. There’s also flooding by the gate when it rains a lot. Over all, It would’ve also been nice to have an accessible stove or utensils in the lobby, although I know it isn’t in the hotel description.

Hotel is right where you want to be to enjoy Tamarindo! Great food options within a minute walk including a food court where you can find all types of menus for all budgets right across the street! A short walk from the beach and shops including a grocery store right around the corner. I don’t know why anyone would stay anywhere else!!

Extremely well located. This is a budget hotel, simple, clean and self checking. The AC worked and the shower water was hot. You will receive the check in information on your cellphone the day off. If you are not used to Tamarindo, the hotel is right next to a mini mall smack in the center of town and just a 5 minute walk to the beach. Everything was functional the only thing is that the breakfast/coffee if there was one, starts at 8AM. A bit late. There is some street noise but nothing major and I slept well.

My family of 5, rented 3 rooms at the Zulu Surf hotel, everyone gives it 5 stars. All slept well on the comfortable beds, Staff was friendly and helpful. Not a lot of amenities, but we were not expecting any. But there was coffee, and games to play on a covered patio with a nice breeze. Conveniently next door to a wonderful pastry and restaurant, plus a food court. The beach was a very short distance, 5 minute walk. Lots of shops to browse, and plenty of restaurants up and down the street. Tamarindo is convenient if you wish to do activities life Iguana surf lessons and surf camp, zipline and ATV, a bit further you have Chris Diving, my family went with Chris, his family worked hard and patiently and took a lot of time to get one family member through anxiety and panic attacks, Lessons taught in the pool the day prior. 18 and 15 years old's, dove like pro's. The neighborhood felt safe and we were comfortable letting the 18 and 15 year old to wonder the main road at night. I can't recommend this charming hotel enough! Felt like home rather then a hotel.
