Lovely spot in a rural countryside setting

If you are looking for a quiet getaway surrounded by nature, this is your kind of place. Friendly and helpful staff. Two story but no elevator and stairs were a little steep so pack light or build up your muscles. I do wish they had better lighting. Parking lot was really dark and the front door was locked when I returned on a Friday night so had to use the side entrance where there was no light except what was from the pool area and that wasn’t much. Overall I had a lovely stay and highly recommend it. This was my second stay with them. A very secluded spot, in rural countryside so always when driving keep a lookout for wildlife. You may spot deer, rabbits and even bears.

The included breakfast was very bad both days and cold. When I stayed in June it was much better. The first day my wife and I were the only 2 in the restaurant, and the food took exactly 40 minutes to come and most was luke warm or cold. The older gentleman in the pro shop was not nice, dismissive and unhelpful. The 3 different ladies at the front desk were nice. I gave a guest a cigar and he invited me to play golf with him, but I was unable to because I was leaving.

We did not stay and have not been refunded our money. We entered the room and the entire wall was literally covered with ladybugs and the beds were saturated with bed bugs. The infestation left the room with a musky sweet smell to it. It was enough to make you vomit. We had to reload the car and fight off the visiting varmint from the woods as we tried to do so (bear, bobcat, etc.) The kids were in tears and we had to drive almost 30 miles away to find alternative lodging. Thank God the Holiday inn had a room for us, a clean room. Heed this warning, do not believe the pictures.

This property is nice, however, the people are not so friendly. The key cards kept demagnetizing, so we kept being locked out of our room. That was frustrating with no one on site after hours, we got locked out at 5 a.m, yesterday morning in the freezing cold. Thank God, we had the car key because we were trying to load the car and leave. The emergency number doesn’t have no one answering it because we called it about an hour straight. The worst experience, never again.

Room and bedding mostly clean. Room needs updates and repairs. Wall next to shower had mold showing through where it looked like they had tried to repair the wall. There was fresh drywall mud but it had a big spot of mold growing in it and it was damp to the touch. The wall unit AC needs cleaning as we both woke up sneezing and stuffy. The bedding is very nice but the beds squeak loudly and are fairly hard. The toilet was extremely slow to flush but it worked. Vending machine in the hallway did not work. In room coffee pot had a layer of a tar-like substance in the bottom so we could not make coffee in our room. Outside lights by side entrance do not work which makes that entrance pitch black and hard to find at night. Swimming pool water was dark green, of course it was not summer time but it should have been treated and maintained. It was the best choice in places to stay in the area so despite those issues, we’d stay again, probably try another room?

I am writing to express my concerns and disappointment regarding my recent stay. A weekend that was expected to be peaceful turned into a disaster due to the property's inability to accommodate handicap individuals, an unclean shower, and extremely low water pressure. The television was inoperable, and despite the efforts of the front desk staff, particularly the young lady who acknowledged the ongoing issue with low water pressure, no clear solution was provided. I was compelled to seek alternative accommodations for my 75-year-old disabled mother, driving over 40 minutes to do so. Unfortunately, my interactions with Manager Brandi were marked by rudeness, passive-aggressiveness, and disrespect. In contrast, staff members Bobbie and another young lady demonstrated professionalism and a commitment to meeting our needs. Despite daily complaints, Manager Brandi failed to contact us, and I was forced to leave multiple messages, finallyI called today only to receive a response with misleading information. I regret staying at this property, which misrepresents its amenities, including breakfast, on its website. I am extremely dissatisfied and want to caution others before booking.
