When staying in Takayama, do yourself a favor and pick this hotel. It’s very unassuming and not luxurious, but they think about every single detail you can imagine. From the amenities (free laundry room, kitchenware, snacks, drinks, they even left a bag on my door with extra towels and other stuff when I chose the no cleaning option for the day), to the outstanding included breakfast and the attentive staff, I found myself very happy with my choice even though I stayed in other luxury and more aesthetically appealing hotels throughout my Japan trip. Don’t get me wrong, the hotel is nice, but the rooms have an Airbnb more than hotel feeling. The location is also unbeatable very close to the station and just a short walk from the main streets and shops.

We absolutely loved the hotel—super clean, full of thoughtful touches, and the staff were very attentive. It is located close to the entire tourist area, and we spent a spectacular and safe few days there. Highly recommended.

We like the location of the property because it is so close to the bus station and the train station, restaurants and sightseeing areas. The complementary drinks in the room refrigerator and the lobby was most appreciated. We only wished it was a little more accessible from street in to the lobby as the hotel was on the 2nd floor.

From the outside, the hotel looks a little unassuming and might make you wonder what to expect. But once inside, it was absolutely fantastic. The room was incredibly spacious, with huge beds, a large bathroom, and even an additional zen-style room that gave us plenty of space to relax. Complimentary laundry and dryer facilities were a huge bonus, and breakfast was included in our stay as well. There are also some excellent eateries just below the hotel, making meals very convenient. Despite being a small boutique hotel, it felt warm, cozy, and welcoming throughout our stay. We (my boys both 7 and 11 years old) thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would happily return.

I can only add to the same and say that it’s an excellent hotel with extra large rooms, comfortable bed and an unbeatable location right across the station.
