This hotel is impeccable. Historical meets luxury and absolutely stunning balcony views with a pool that kept us cool in the start of the summer. I had two people tell me that this hotel was amazing on the inside but old and not too nice on the inside. I’m afraid I have to disagree, it was amazing both inside and out. It’s has clearly been recently redone and the lobby, rooms, and restaurants were all great. We stayed in one of the rooms with a balcony, so I cannot speak to the windowless rooms.. which I suspect may have been the source of the other comments. The property has history, is beautiful, and I highly recommend it.

Nice and clean room in a well sit location. The reception area is huge and will make you feel you are one of the celebrities when you are there. The shuttle bus is very convenient. The staff is quite nice. What I like the place the most is the back hill of the hotel. If you get up early and walk through the path back there you will see the city of Taipei and the New Taipei City from the other side.
