Great hotel although somewhat old and somewhat dated. It is very well located and base several dinning options which make it very convenient. The staff and the service are super high class. English speaking travelers will feel very comfortable and cared for in this hotel. The staff is genuinely hospitable and accommodating. A special thank you to Sing, the lifeguard on duty at the rooftop pool, (a hidden gem of a view of the city) who not only gave us a great recommendation for dinner at Chez Yeh, on our last night in Taipei but personally made a call to make a reservation for us. I highly recommend this beautiful, clean and relaxing hotel.

Absolutely great experience. The only thing we would give advice to future guests is to look into the “meal plans” from our experience if you don’t purchase them in advance you aren’t allowed to dine at most of the restaurants. Other than that the staff, rooms and facilities are wonderful!

The Shangri-La is always a winner. The staff is wonderful and speaks several languages. The hostess saw that my son had recently had a birthday and sent up a cake for him. The rooms are wonderful, a great place to relax, and it is well placed in Taipei. I can't wait to stay here again

Well services 5star hotel. No complaints on anything. Absolutely happy overall. However some minor things, 1. TV unit was not equipped with Google Chromecast(later staff confirmed it can be provided)2. Swimming pool on top is deeper on one side with 1.9mtrs(higher than average man height) mainly suitable for professional swimmers. Adjacent 1/3 area is 1.3mtr deep, however lifeguard on duty always.

Enjoyed our stay here. Amenities and service were exceptional. The room we had offered stunning views of the city landscape and faced Tapei 101 plus exceeded our expectations in size, comfort, cleanliness. Highly recommend staying here.

We stayed 3 nights in a spacious and sunny room with a king bed, where a very nice view could be enjoyed from the window. The lounge, called Horizon Lounge, was also available, and there we could relax and enjoy refreshments and drinks with a view of Taipei 101. The staff was very helpful and their hospitality was impeccable and excellent. We felt as snug as a bug in a rug during our stay at Shangri-la Hotel!
