It's also about a 10-15 walk to the historic Dihua street, one of the oldest areas of the city which was once the main market area (still lots of interesting shops there that cater to the local...good photo opps too with some older buildings)

Did nt have dedicated room to hold luggage so we paid for extra night as we not as young as we used to be. We were lucky to get a free upgrade and room. This hotel is within 10 minutes from the train station, very convenient. It is also near the famous tourist district with lots of restaurants, cafe, spa, and pharmacy etc. The room was clean, comfy and nicely decorated. The staff was super friendly. Some hits, lots of little misses

Lots of little issues made this less than what it could have been. The toilet flushed poorly and I often had to remover the tank cover to move the flap back into place and re-flush almost every time. There should always be a spare roll of toilet paper in every bathroom and I hated worrying about running low or our and had to make a note for the housekeeping staff to replenish. I believe we were entitled to 2 free drinks per day during our stay due to my membership level, but that only happened the first day. The TV remote control instructions were unclear and we never figured it out making for a frustrating experience. The pluses were that the front desk and housekeeping staff were very professional, friendly and respectful which were great. Breakfast options also excellent.
