I’d like to preface that my family and I stayed at the Midtown Richardson in Kaohsiung for 9 days prior to checking into this one in Taipei for 5 days. I booked this property based on my *naive* assumption that I would have the same experience that we had in Kaohsiung which was very pleasant. However we were greatly disappoint as soon as we walked into our rooms. I booked 3 rooms,

its mid but not bad

The place was fine, but the carpets are disgusting... I had some issues with my room at first. The staff there were amazing and moved me instantly, and were really helpful. Over all not the worst place I've stayed, but could be a lot better. The location is awesome.

Good location

It's the 2nd time we stayed here and noticed they have renovated the place and it looks brighter now. The bathroom don't have anything to hang towels and clothes. Overall room is ok. Like the location conveniently located near Ximending and Ximen station. But the most horrible experience was when I went to the common toilet on the ground floor near the restaurant, the toilet bowl was choked and filthy water was overflowed from the toilet bowl onto the floor.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and it was the worst hotel we have stayed at. Staffs were not friendly, no hi or welcome, one host approached us and told us to sit and wait for check in. When we got checked in, the room was dirty and smells like mold. We had asked to change room and they gave us another one just four doors down that was exactly the same. We ended up not being able to change for another room. The experience at this hotel was not great. We will never stay at this place again.
