Good location that is in walkable distance to the old town which has temple and many local eateries. It is close to the bus station to great root spa resort for day trip to the forest park and outdoor spa and hotel operated restaurants which is very nice.
The rooms were comfortable, functional and clean. It is common that most Hotel place their TV at sitting view height, when I for one, prefer laying in my bed to watch TV instead of sitting nearly fully upright. Putting it higher up on the wall would achieve a better viewing angle for laying in the bed to watch.
The Hotel was central and convenient with plenty of restaurants and local markets for food and drink. Pubs are not a thing in Taiwan, but I would prefer a local watering hole. The nearest one had a single guy sitting all alone, so it seems to not be much of a local concern.
