I like this hotel and always stay here when I visit Taipei. The room is always clean and comfy. Starbucks is right downstairs next to the lobby. The location is in residential area and not as convenient, but MRT which goes everywhere in Taipei is in 10 minutes walking distance.

Comfortable and Convenient

Hotel room was bigger and comfortable than what we would find in places closer to Ximending. What I really like is how the lights have been designed to provide just enough light for the night and dim enough to still find my way to the toilet. The hotel is about 5 mins walk to the Beitou MRT. Along the way you will pass a Family Mart and a 7 Eleven which is very convenient if you like to buy snacks.

The property is in the middle of nowhere. No good choice for going out to eat Pretty dead place at night The facility is more like a motel, no slippers, robe…very bare minimum place. The worst Marriott I have ever stayed Very keen wanting to charge extra day even for early arrival.not very accommodating even for Marriott member The room charge is over priced. I would not stay here any more. I moved to Howard Plaza after 2 days. The room rate is similar, but Howard Plaza is in a much for desirable location.

My stay was great! The room was clean and orderly. They have a smart toilet which was amazing. I had a view of the city from my room. The breakfast buffest was good. They cater more to Asian cuisine but you can find eggs, toast and cereal. They cleaned everyday and gave us fresh towels daily. The front desk staff was friendly but some things got lost in translation regarding our total hotel bill. We had alot of back and forth even at check out. I would recommend just paying in full before you go. Also they did not make it clear that they don't exchange our currency which was the Philippine Peso. Banks are closed on weekends and it is hard to find money exchange places other than the airport. So just ask very simple and clear questions when you first arrive. But all was good in the end. I would return again but I would pay upfront as it was too confusing as to the total bill as they held 1 night on my card which I was told just 2 days before.

I had a pleasant experience at the Aloft Taipei Beitou. The room is well-designed and spotless and offers excellent amenities and utensils, including a mini-fridge, high-speed internet, complimentary bottled water, and excellent bathroom toiletries. The bed was a tad too soft for my preference, and there was some noise from adjoining rooms, but these were minor issues. Overall, a great stay with excellent value.

There’s room for improvement

Nobody met us and help move the luggage into the hotel on check-in. The check-in counter personnel isn’t particularly helpful either. The hotel also takes tour groups. We were advised to have breakfast after 8:30am to avoid the crowd but still, the whole place was full of the group tour travelers who were talking loud like in the market.

A decent option with a few shortcomings

Modern and clean. Good enough sound insulation, although some hallway noise did come in. Windows were filthy, which blocked me from enjoying the views. Desk staff is helpful and largely English speaking. No pool. The open floorplan lobby restaurant has signs all over for 300 NT minimum charge, leading to no space for guests to just sit and chill without being a customer. I wasn't a fan of the branding/colors of the hotel and rooms–too dark for me without the nightclub vibe of the W Hotel. Mattress was comfortable. Shower pressure very weak, but otherwise the bathroom was nice.
