Anping is my favorite area of Tainan and this hotel showed itself to be a delightful and quirky little boutique place in a great location. My room was comfortable, the temperature was good, the decor curious and the bed comfortable. It’s certainly not an international chain hotel, so you won’t get a 24 lobby or concierge service, it feels a lot more like a family-run guest house but personally I prefer that. Internet was acceptable at about 20/20 mbps in the room and faster in the lobby.

Tainan’s Anping District

We enjoyed our short visit at The Brick. Our room was on the 1st floor which was convenient and they provided a parking space for us which was extremely helpful and thoughtful. The manager is very kind and helpful with local knowledge. We ate the a nearby beef soup place and famous milkfish restaurant all within walking distance from The Brick! Great location near the River and Anping district.

Room F was disappointing

The housekeeper was very kind, allowing us to use the parking space right outside and accommodating our later-than-expected arrival. However, the room allocated to us (Room F) was much shabbier than those in the pictures. For example, the electrical socket was hanging off the wall, there was a spaghetti mess of cables on the wall around the TV, water seeped through the shower cubicle partition into the bedroom, the fridge was dirty and the room was generally dusty. But we realised later in our stay that other rooms were in much better condition — looks like we drew the short straw. For the benefit of future guests, please note that rooms are not automatically cleaned — you have to leave a note in reception before noon if you want your room serviced. (We didn’t realise this until it was too late.)

2023年01月•好友旅行 民宿清潔度有待加強，浴室及房間地板皆有殘留的毛髮，且剛進入浴室有一股霉味；房間內有附冰箱但卻是故障的。 民宿為老宅改造，隔音部分不是很好，對於聲音很敏感者，請謹慎考慮是否入住。 附近有停車場及一些可以停車的地方，並不是民宿附的停車位，需要繞找，介意的人也請謹慎考慮。 但是地點離安平老街很近，距離一些有名的餐廳也很近，且位於安靜的住宅區還算不錯！民宿主人也很熱情親切！

頗有風格的民宿

老闆娘很親切及熱情，好心的告訴我們哪邊可以停車及推薦的美食美景～ 唯獨晚上隔音不是很好，遇到不懂得尊重他人的房客時，真的有點無奈～ 枕頭感覺是羽毛枕偏硬，但睡起來大致上還可以～ 環境整體很有氛圍，會令人想再回顧～

無對外窗，大門樓上冷氣水狂滴進門會滴到，廁所用公廁隔間隔起來的完全無乾濕分離，因為是老屋改建隔音不太好，性價比低。

整體而言推薦！

民宿的設計很漂亮、我們這次是住八人房的樓中樓，上下的空間都蠻足夠的。而且樓上跟樓下各有一間廁所使用上也不會覺得不便。（因為是老宅改建所以沒有電梯、如果有不方便爬樓梯的長輩或小孩訂房時要留意） 房間裡的氛圍很用心，可惜廁所衛浴的隔間卻蠻陽春的，感覺有點突兀。然後衛浴的空間也比較小不過！洗澡的水壓很強！沖都很舒服。 設備的部分，整棟民宿只有1樓客廳有冰箱，像我們住在3樓的話就比較不好使用。飲水設備也是在1樓的洗手台旁邊有飲用水出水設計，但是水流比較小，裝熱水的話要等比較久。 民宿接待的管家也很親切，謝謝蘇小姐。

遇到同層有小朋友跑來跑去、兩房間串門子時，房間內仍會聽到聲音。除此之外一切都很好，住宿具有設計感、寬敞也舒服。

價格實惠的好地方

民宿主人非常親切，很盡力地照顧來訪者。民宿原來是座玩具工廠，由設計師改建為民宿，設計風格挺好看，但是隔音因此是一個問題（可能不適合怕吵的人）。民宿離王氏魚皮湯很近，因此我們早上輕鬆前往、一飽口福。
