The chat with the owner was so much fun! The lobby with full of movie posters, DVDs, books about movies excited us. And the breakfast was so delicious. The room was so wide! We really loved this place and hopefully we will come back.

Fantastic stay!

Cozy, familiar, and super nice host! In a quiet area of Tainan - Poky has setup a really nice place to stay. Custom Tainan breakfast eats every day with helpful and warm hosting. If you're travelling to Tainan don't hesitate to stay here!

We loved this characterful and stylish home in one of Tainan’s typical alleys. We had a huge room with a large room and plenty of room to hang your clothes. The bed was large, albeit a little hard for us but this is a very personal thing for people and it will suits others..the shower and bath room were excellent with a decent shower. The public areas had tables for breakfast or even to eat your own food. The breakfast was local and a great experience. The owner was the ultimate professional, and seemed have thought of everything

The property was very clean, owner was welcoming, breakfast was delicious, and the service was exceptional. The interior design was especially unique, and the lobby contained many old books and dvds that were all free to borrow during your stay. The entire stay was very memorable, would definitely stay there again when we visit Tainan.

Incredible stay in Tainan

Poky was an excellent host. The room was beautiful, so open and clean. Poky made us traditional Taiwanese breakfasts each morning, and also shared with us his film collection. I would absolutely recommend!

Lovely house with a super host!

The host was really friendly and we appreciated the local breakfasts he prepared for us! Thank you for making the drinks for us during breakfast and the little chats. My boy really had a memorable time here and we had fun exploring Tainan on his advice too! We hope to be back to stay again!

I thought Chez Poky was exquisite. We had a nice quiet and amazing visit there. Our room was beautiful and the amenities were excellent. The host made us feel like we’re at home. And of course I couldn’t end without mentioning that they have a delicious breakfast menu. I hope to be back soon!

Mr. Poky makes you feel welcome at his well decorated and comfortable home which is situated within walking distance of many attractions. He is also fluent in English and can point you to places to visit, present local delicacies at the breakfast table, and call taxi services for you. An amazing and wonderful stay!

We stayed here for 2 nights and the host is really friendly and warm, we really enjoyed our stay with cozy decoration and very comfortable and relaxing scent around the house. The host has a very good taste on the house decoration and the toiletries selection, there are enough socket in the room which is so important for travelers. No wonder this hotel can have this such high rating, you will like it after you experience, I really recommended this place if you are visiting Tainan

A great relaxing experience

Wonderful experience. The sitting area and the room were both clean and relaxing. Mr. Hsu was a gracious host and was all too happy to recommend local restaurants and sightseeing spots. We liked it so much, as soon as we got back home, we reserved a room there again for our next trip!

The place was tastefully decorated. Rooms are clean and spacious. Tainan's local delicacies are served for breakfast along with fruits and drinks, we had coffee both days and it was of good quality. Owner is knowledgeable about tainan, provided parking advice in advance and offered us a map. We had a good rest at Poky Chez and recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in a minsu when visiting tainan.

High quality stay

We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere provided by our host, Poky. This included a comfortable lobby with many books and soothing background music. Our host also provided a great many tips on places to see and eat. Our room was modern and comfortable. It was quiet for sleeping. Breakfast was gathered from famous local restaurants and was elegantly served. We enjoyed our three nights here and look forward to coming back again.

From the location on a small quiet street, to the extremely well-appointed, large, comfortable and quiet room in a beautifully designed home, to the breakfast offerings that changed daily, to Poky's warm & welcoming professionalism our stay was fantastic. Poky was always there to help when we needed it, especially for foodie dining recommendations and equally there just to chat when we were on our way out or in after a full day in Tainan. I can’t recommend this bed and breakfast enough! To start the room we booked was large, clean and comfortable. The breakfast provided is selected from local places in Tainan, and you get to try the amazing local cuisines. There’s also a great movie collection you can choose from downstairs, and it was a great way for us to unwind after a long day of exploring Tainan. There is so much more to say about how amazing the host, and the space is, but I’d just say to book it and experience for yourself if there is availability.

At Chez Poky we had easily the best experience of any of the places where we stayed during our travels in Taiwan. Poky Hsu was friendly, kind and helpful. The facility itself is immaculate and nicely furnished. Our room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and different each morning. We cannot recommend Chez Poky too highly.

Chez Poky is the BEST B&B in Tainan. It exceeds 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. It's well designed, beautifully decorated, and the host, Poky Hsu is friendly, helpful and gave us the VIP treatment, as I'm sure he does with all his guest. His guidance and recommendations for Tainan are spot on! The Taiwanese breakfasts served were delicious with beverage and fruit. The amenities were plentiful, including thick plush cotton towel, complimentary snacks and beverages. Poky recommended a specialty dessert place called Katsura, which we would have never tried without him telling us Thank you Poky for a most memorable time in Tainan. Rating: 10 and highly highly recommend this place. You can't go wrong!
