This was a highlight of my trip. I *adored* this space. The location is not too far from Tainan train station (note: this is separate from the HSR), and is near many wonderful attractions and food options. It can be a little confusing to find because it is in a winding alley, but the alley itself is also really cute! The host met with me at check-in and provided me with a map and recommendations, which was so thoughtful. I loved all the careful details in the space and room. My room was very comfortable and beautiful. There is a slight gap under the door, so you have to be mindful of your noise level. I would absolutely stay here again next time I'm in Tainan!

Lodging was in a beautiful and historical part of town. (There’s a very local soy milk place selling it by the bag starting in the afternoon. Line forms early and all day.) We loved the old architecture of the building, property and room. Very comfortable and clean. The inn owner was so friendly and hospitable. He was helpful and wanting us to enjoy the city. Highly recommended choice!

A wonderful experience in Tainan!

One of the best places i have stayed so far! An old Taiwanese building now used as a hotel, beautifully decorated, clean and equipped with all the amenities. Located in a great area, close to lots of restaurants and cafes. The host is one of the loveliest persons, very helpful and friendly, always responsive and also gave tons of recommendations for my trip around the city. Totally recommend it to anyone visiting Tainan 😊

The host is excellent and very helpful. Property and room nicely decorated. Location was right in the middle of city center. Biggest negative for us was that our room was open toilet and it was not mentioned anywhere in the description. It was ok for us as a couple but from hygiene perspective, we do not like it.

A very pleasant experience.

The hotel is very well decorated, has a very pleasant atmosphere, and great care is evident in the small details. It looks even nicer in person than in the photos. Everything is very clean and well-maintained. The hosts are very kind, speak several languages, and took the time to give us extra information about the city. The hotel has the perfect location for exploring Tainan, which is important in a city where public transportation is not very good.

Superb accomodation

Lovely house, situated in cute and interesting area (snail alley) with plenty of small streets, cafes and restaurants around. The host is very helpful, they gave us a comprehensive introduction to the area. We arrived early and dropped off our luggage before the check in time, and when we arrived back they had carried our super heavy bags upstairs to our room. They were very helpful and accomodated our need to store our luggage on the day we checked out, and even left us a sweet note and some snacks when we came back to pick up our stuff. All in all a 6/5 stay! A BIG recommendation.

This delightfully charming property is run by a husband (Terry) and wife (Cina). Cina was there and greeted us warmly when we arrived, and was happy to share insights on current local events and hidden gems, including the roaming night markets. Both hosts speak fluent English and Mandarin, and Cina even speaks Japanese, which made communication easy and our stay feel even more welcoming. I stayed in the Classic Double Room (the "Tailor's Room"), which was every bit as lovely as the photos. Tainan is often called the "Kyoto of Taiwan" for its rich cultural heritage, and this property truly captures that spirit. The decor is beautifully curated, integrating historical furniture and accents with modern conveniences. Entering the property felt like stepping into a thoughtfully restored piece of Tainan's history. While the Tailor's Room is popular, I'd like to surmise that the Comfort Double Room ("Craftsman's Room") is an underrated choice for solo travelers wanting a balance of personal space and social opportunities. The square footage doesn't include a bathroom, so it's larger than it seems on paper. Lastly the location is unbeatable, tucked away in a quiet, artsy alley with many cute shops, right in the middle of Tainan's bustling city center. The ground floor common area also has ample seating—perfect when you're in the mood to meet other travelers. This property truly embodies Tainan’s culture, with hosts who make you feel at home. Highly recommend for a memorable stay!

個人で経営されている宿に泊まるのは初めてのことでしたが、笑顔の素敵な優しいオーナーさんが迎えてくださり安心しました。 館内はレトロ可愛い家具でまとめられており、古民家でありながら清潔に管理されていてトイレやシャワーも気持ち良く使えました。 立地も素晴らしいです。有名店や観光名所が徒歩圏内にあり、疲れたらいつでも休憩しに帰って来れるのが良かったです。 自宅にいるような居心地の良さで、恐らく一日の半分は部屋で過ごしていたかもしれません。 難点を挙げるとするなら急な階段くらいでしょうか。足腰の弱い方には厳しい可能性があります。 あと全身が映る鏡があったら嬉しいですね。 体力がある内にまた泊まりに行きたいです。

古い邸宅をリノベーションした素敵なホテル。 天井の高いノスタルジックなお部屋と便利な設備で快適に過ごせました。 かたつむり街の中にあり、周辺を散歩するだけでも映画の世界に入り込んだような気持ちになれます。 スタッフは常駐していませんが、LINEで連絡がとれるので、困ることはなく、タクシーの手配などもしてくださいました。 素敵な、素敵な、素敵なホテルです ありがとうございました
