The location is perfect in Tahoe City, right across the street from The Commons. It was close to great food, drinks and bakery’s. I stayed in room 8, which was on the top floor. The room was spotless, the bedding very comfortable and of high quality. I slept really well and it was very quiet. I appreciated the shampoo, body lotion and conditioner. The thing I DIDNT LIKE was the check in process. I sent them 3 texts asking them how I check in with no response. I later found 4 emails from them with more information each time. I would appreciate a more straightforward approach.

WiFi barely worked and would skip out. Check in process was a pain and made you jump hoops to get the entry code, very impersonal. I called for help with the process, and no one answered, I left a voicemail and no one even bothered to return my call. Cleaners knocked on my door Sunday morning at 9:15am when my check out was 11:00am which I thought was not necessary being that I paid a premium to stay there and check out is 11:00am.

We paid nearly $600 for one night, including taxes and fees, and were very disappointed. The main photo on Expedia is misleading. It shows the cute gift shop at the front of the property, not the actual hotel, which is hidden behind it. The hotel itself is very old, run down, and looks nothing like the listing front photo. The carpet in our room had obvious stains, and the biggest issue was the bedding. The sheets, blankets, and covers all had visible yellow stains, making us uncomfortable enough that we tried not to let them touch our skin while we slept. For the price we paid, a clean room and honest listing photos are the bare minimum. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again. I have to add that the location of the hotel is excellent.
