Currently not a good place to stay!

The place is currently under construction. The air conditioner in the room did not work!😡It’s currently 9@ degrees in the Philippines. The staff was kind enough to change our room . Lots of noise here also due to the construction!💥💥💥😱

Excellent budget hotel

I loved the friendly and knowledgeable staff, clean room and bathroom and ease to restaurants and shopping but no coffee or warm water to have tea or coffee when needed.

Staff ignores your request

Even though there was a secret switch, you have to push to make the AC work. We called and called the front desk, but nobody actually came to fix it until about 7 PM so they let us suffer for five hours with no AC.

Obviously, the property is old already. I checked in on this hotel when it was still Hotel D Angelo and it was a bit okay. 20 years after, hotel needs to be renovated. Very evident that it is really old. No shampoo and soap provided. No dental kit, no free bottled water and no toilet paper. To think that its rate is expensive compared to other hotels in the same area

エアコンが古くてうるさいのと、道路に面しているため、エアコンの風が排気ガスを引き込む為困りました。 バンバンターミナルに30秒は便利でした。

タクロバンの港から近い市街にあり、近くに色々な飲食店(ファーストフードがメインですが)やスーパーなどがあるので、立地的にはとても便利だと思います。 ホテルの建物はやや古く、部屋は少し暗い印象ですが、掃除はきちんとされていると思います。虫も出ませんでした。シャワーは水量はありますが、お湯は出ません。Wi-Fiはやや弱いですが使えます。歯ブラシやシャンプーなどのアメニティやペットボトルの水等は用意されていません。通りに面していて、夜遅くなっても交通量があるので、騒がしいのが苦手な人は気になるかもしれません。料金も安いので私は特に何も不満はありたせん。

stayed here many times before when it was called "d'angelo" good hotel very good breakfast, the only place in Tacloban where they can toast bread properly !!!! keep up the good work Canelsa

TERRIBLE!

Do not book online! I booked a room for my wife and two kids. Picture showed two twin beds. After booking it showed one double bed. They get there an it is one twin bed. Not big enough for all three. The hotel would not change. They had to sleep sideways. NEVER AGAIN

Certainly not as the picture describes.Curtains so thin that the light outside the window lit the room up..so I checked out, before my sleep would be totally ruined.I realise it's not an expensive hotel but at least consider the sleeping arrangements,if you have a light outside the bedroom window shining in the room,provide blackout curtains

TACLOBAN - Two One Night Stays in February 2019

I had a birthday celebration to attend in Barugo on 11 February and stayed in Tacloban 10 and 12 February. The hotel was pleasant and the staff helpful. There were several restaurants and stores in the area. PROS: Nice room with powerful a/c (almost too much), a basic breakfast, nice staff, and decent wifi. CONS: Restaurant was only available for breakfast, no refrigerator in room, their picture show what looks like a coffee maker but is actually a thermos, so you cant make coffee, hot water was slow to come up but it was available just took a long time to get to the bathroom.

You feel welcome when you get here. Ambiance is good and location of area is pretty accessible to everything. Cleanliness is not that bad. Nice and accomodating staff. For sure will go back here.

Not Again in Hotel Canelsa

The hotel is so laidback and the smell inside the room was not nice even if it’s clean, The breakfast is not good at all, no potable water, bed sheets are outdated and pillow are so thin hard to sleep, they should provide at least two pillows. Service and attendant at 5th floor was not nice (from 1-10 is just 2).
