Area is a little ducked off from the night life in Tachikawa which can be perfect or slightly inconvenient depending on your desires. If you want to get drunk and have a night to remember*, maybe it's a bit of a walk for a drunk person. If you want easy access to the night life but peace and quiet, away from the trouble, it is the exact right distance for you. If you're on foot and using the train system, be prepared for a little walking. Its not too bad if you like walking medium distances. There's plenty to do and see in-between the station and hotel. I can not speak on drivers' and the experience with parking, as I was on foot for my experience.

This is a no frills Japanese Hotel. The room is small by western standards, but it was clean and comfortable the bathroom is a โ€œUnit Bathโ€ It contains everything you need but it wonโ€™t be what you expect. If you are โ€œPlus Sizedโ€ in anyway: Height or Weight, you might not love it. Me at a little over 5โ€™10โ€, 204lbs find it snug but workable. The Tub is actually designed for soaking. Anyhow, for the price, It was very nice.

There was feces stuck to the inside of the toilet bowl. It is difficult to find unless opening the toilet seat cover. There was a large step at the entrance to the toilet, which made it scary to use at night. When I enterned the room, I put refrigerated foods inside the refrigerator without knowing it was turned off. I found it was off and asked the staff. There was a switch in a hard-to-find place. I think a warning plate is needed on the refrigerator door. The staff said that refrigerated foods would be fine for about 5 hours and left. I felt that his answer was careless.
