Overall very positive. I had a standard room. It was very clean, spacious, and comfy. The amenities were all good quality, and the microwave & mini fridge very useful. The whole surrounding area is very quiet and relaxing. Although I must mention that the upkeep could be better, cracks in the ceiling and bathroom floor peeling off. The interior is a bit dull, but considering the price it is still great value for money.

We liked the hotel grounds with acres of fields the best. The views were spectacular. Dinner served at the hotel was also delicious. I had the seabass fillets with baby potatoes, and the seabass fillet and the skin was cooked perfectly...it wasnt dry at all. My husband had the ribs and he swears that they are the best ribs he has ever come across...they were definitely more superior than the Harvester - they were meaty and not fatty!! Thank The breakfast had variety. A cooked to order menu and the buffet. We stayed in the courtyard. The double room was ok. Basic, I would say. It didnt come with the usual hotel bath robes or slippers. And the shower is a fixed head, not a rainfall shower. It would have been nice to have a movable shower hose as well as a fixed shower head for added convenience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. And car parking spaces were aplenty.

The rooms are quite tired and outdated. Would be great for it to be modernised a bit more in line with the lovely spa facilities, which we're just perfect. Staff really helpful. Keiron was fab 😊. Breakfast was confusing in the buffet/help yourself area. Some rethinking of the guests experience of navigating breakfast choices would be helpful, also on the menus a clearer indication of vegetarian options, this was also confusing. But over all the hotel was just lovely, great location, views and location.

Although food and staff were very good. Our ‘superior room in the courtyard’ was very poor. Stained carpets and mugs, no privacy at window unless curtains closed. Worst was the bathroom - about 7 inches higher than a normal bath and a hard small step to use to get in and out of the bath - very hazardous. High price paid for a very poor ‘superior’ room - not luxury room at all

Nice little find…. Greeted by lovely staff. Room clean and nicely decorated, looked out to a magnificent view. Impressed with the bar and conservatory and again the view. Had a long journey so we decided to eat a evening meal at the hotel. Was not disappointed, the food was superb. Enjoyed the pool, steam room and sauna the following day. Very clean, could not fault. Left the hotel feeling very satisfied with our choice and would love to return again. Ideal area if you want to visit the ‘Clarkson Empire’ and Cotswolds.

Breakfast buffet is quite limited but adequate. Toast, jam, assorted fruits, sausage, bacon, eggs, beans and hash browns. Scrambled eggs would have been better. Room was quite large but old. Peeling paint on the baseboard, old granny wallpaper and a bathroom from 1980. The toilet won't flush without a lot of extra effort. Air conditioner would have been appreciated. It was 81 degrees (27) and stifling in the room. This hotel needs updating desperately. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and the landscape is stunning

The breakfast and staff made this hotel get 5 stars. The rooms were clean, but basic. We used it just for a place to sleep and then have breakfast as a base for visiting the Cotswolds. The restaurant, grounds and serivce was exceptional, and made up for the smaller, basic room.
