“Our stay was generally good. A couple of comments. Our hot tap in Room 8 was stuck and not working and the plug sockets were strangely placed in room meaning the kettle could only be operated balanced on a chair or inside the cupboard.”

“A must for any racing fan or anyone who wants a good night’s sleep as you cannot hear any noise from the High street. Beautiful settings and exceptionally well maintained. Breakfast very good. Helpful and friendly staff. 5 stars what else can I say.”

“Very helpful staff, very good food indeed for dinner in the restaurant. Their 17th Century main building is very interesting. They have a large car park . At night there is no road traffic noise. The bedroom heating and the electric bathroom towel rail didn't respond to the controls so both rooms were cold. The ceiling lighting was very inadequate and the bed's mattress felt cheap, Despite the issues I would stay here again.”

“A lovely local place to stay with king size beds, air conditioning, mini fridge, morning coffee, fabulous showers, high ceilings, a great staff. All tucked away behind an outdoor area and a wonderful traditional English pub.”

“Abi at the reception desk was amazing and she treated me with kindness and respect. At some hotels they don’t even look at you but did eye contact. Alex at the Spa was also great and really helped me to relax! She was very professional!”

“Very comfortable bed but room far far too hot, window open but directly out side the beer garden so noisy. This would be fine if thoughtful ear plugs were provided. Felt quite exposed opening the window more, but room temperature so high, fan provided was pathetic so did not sleep well at all. I’m sure on a cool day it would be lovely however. Sadly had to leave before breakfast at 8 during weekends - I made a mistake and thought it would be 7.30 still. Lovely place but potential to be fantastic...

“Stayed 4 days with 3 different bookings 2+1+1 first two days room was good but it didn’t have any view so when I booked 3rd night asked to change room with view, so they accepted to change the view was ok but shower pressure was too low, so on the next booking I ask if I can change my room because the shower is bad receptionist said they cannot change because they are full (It’s hard to believe because I can still book rooms from Expedia which means it was not full) and they can send some guy...
