Great breakfast, beautiful rooms, beautiful hallways and other areas with access to the black sand beach. The dinner menu is very high end, with just 4 options for mains, each starting at around $55 USD (not including sides or drinks).

Very beautiful hotel, quiet environment. Low key and relaxing departure from the crowds of tourists. Bed was comfortable, shower excellent, room quiet. Very nice restaurant with the most amazing windows facing the ocean. It’s a very new hotel, one wing currently under construction.

The place is beautiful and by far the best hotel we stayed at in Iceland. Very modern and has a great vibe. Plenty of room to relax. The breakfast was the best on the island! The downfall is that the spa is still under construction. And there isn't also to do in the nearby communities. FYI — All of Iceland has black sand. I would return to this hotel if we ever come back to Iceland.

Very clean room and hotel. Staff were friendly. The bed for me tho was incredibly soft. So too were the pillows. Breakfast was good. We enjoyed our stay but the bed for me didn’t help me have a decent nights sleep due to how soft the mattress was.

Great hotel with great ocean views. The breakfast buffet is very nice with beautiful views of the ocean. They are going high end on the dinner restaurant. We ordered some bread and butter to snack on and then had the arctic char as a main, along with the cod as a 2nd main ( 4 main courses to choose from). Our total bill for just those items with no drinks was around $140 USD. Very pricey.

Overall this is a very beautiful hotel with very comfortable rooms and great restaurant! Right on the beach you can enjoy beautiful sunset! All rooms are very nice including high quality toiletries, towels etc. the only downside there is a spa construction ongoing through the end of 2026 so there is no gym or spa at the hotel. Construction didn’t bother us but they could lower the price since there are no amenities. Overall great hotel.

Beautiful property in a stunning location with water and black sand dunes and beach on both sides. Incredible included breakfast (pancakes, bacon, eggs, baked beans, potatoes, Skyr, fruit, cheeses, smoked salmon, toast, pastries, coffee and juices) in a spacious dining area with views. Ground floor room was modern, clean, comfortable and quiet. Great location just south of Selfoss and the Golden Circle and an hour from the airport. We stayed for two nights and would definitely return and recommend.

Lovely hotel, a great luxury stay to break up the Airbnb stays we’d experienced so far in our trip. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had amazing water pressure. There is also a digital thermostat in the unit. I was quite disappointed to not have an ocean view based on room type and telling them we were here celebrating our anniversary- instead our romantic view was of the parking lot. The floor all in the unit is carpet which I can imagine will stay clean looking for very long. The breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the water views from the restaurant area.

Hotel is nearly opened last month, maybe April 2026, all facilities is not available at the moment except the lobby and the restaurant. The hotel is excellent, and the vibe are good, it’s romantic resort I ever seen jazz music play around the lobby in the hallway😍 staff is helpful and nice. Excellent breakfast with salmon.

Quiet brand new hotel tucked away on a private beach with fantastic views of the ocean. Room can feel a little small but amenities and furnishing are ultra modern. Good breakfast selection at the buffet. Note that Google Maps navigation doesn’t bring you to the right parking spot as of June 2026, likely due to how new the hotel is

This will be a great hotel when the finish construction and add the amenities we thought would be there. The beach and waterfront was beautiful but no sauna, etc. there was no one at the desk when we arrived and when she finally came up she stated she was in coffee break. She did not explain anything and we saw little staff there the whole time.

The hotel just opened this spring. Could not ask for a better location directly on the ocean, watching the arctic terns nesting. Hotel manager was super nice and helpful. Construction is ongoing to finish suites, etc. It was super quiet when we were there. We enjoyed sitting in the spacious lobby looking at the view. Room was nice although a little dark. Excellent breakfast buffet. They have a few quirks to work out. Will be fantastic when done. Would come back.

The review gets a 3/5 because the hotel is NOT READY FOR GUESTS. It will be a beautiful hotel - SOMEDAY. There are no amenities, our room was missing furniture, TV’s weren’t connected, mattresses had no covering, the door to our room was unfinished - you could see right into our room from the hallway, stairs were not done so lift only - there are countless other unfinished items I could list. Minimally staffed, but the ones there were very accommodating. Dinner was good, however the food came out cold.

We were amongst the first few guests at this outstanding new hotel. The location is jaw-droppingly stunning in every direction with sea views on one side and lake/Mountain views on the other. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was immaculate with a very comfortable bed and high quality down duvet and pillows. The breakfast was excellent and the set 3 course menu was exceptional. The spa area is still in construction but we were sadly only there for a night so probably wouldn’t have had time to use it anyway. I have no doubt that it too will be superb when finished. I have no hesitation in recommending this new hotel to other travellers and will certainly return myself one day.
