I really loved my stay at Khaosok River Home Resort. It's isolated, surrounded by mountains and a river, the little homes are cut and the open dining room is perfect!

It‘s a nice little hotel with an amazing view on the river. Staff was absolutely incredible! The only thing that you need to prepared for if you come here, it‘s in the middle of nowhere, without a taxi (which is quite expensive) it’s impossible to get anywhere. Still loved the stay :)

Considering you’re out in the jungle basically, the rooms are very well maintained and also air conditioned. The staff is very eager to assist and always on hand. Be prepared to arrive with cash because it seems like the credit card reader is not always available and that can be an issue. This is also a remote property so bear in mind you will only have limited access to all amenities during daylight hours. But the staff is lovely and will bend over backwards to help you in any way they can, just have your expectations in line with the location. That being said there is transport available to all the local attractions, and it’s a truly lovely and one of a kind experience that I am sure you will cherish, as I did :)

Lovely place for a relaxing stay. Views from the room were fantastic and staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the location is somewhat isolated and taxis/transport in the area is on the more expensive side. If you are looking to explore the area yourself, it is not an ideal location

Fin lille perle

Fantastisk lille perle ude i junglen.

Beautiful spot with paradisiac view of the Khao Sok mountains and river running right by your cabin. Cabins are comfortable and small but you can hear the next one very easily and bathroom does not have full privacy (clear window shade). Most of the staff were very kind and friendly, some are a bit rude. One can understand the language barriers and busy tourist area with lots of demanding tourists leads to some apprehension but they seem to be less friendly than could be. Se light prepared snacks for purchase would be lovely. I had a chance to meet the owner/operator who was very gracious and helpful.

Do not expect too much but enjoy the greenery and the quietness. Room is small but comfortable enough for a person or two - very clean, no bugs, basic toiletries provided (no dental products, razor, hairdryer). There is a bit of language barrier (translation app is useful) but everyone was very friendly and accomodating. Food is available at the premise - all you can eat breakfast; dinner was simple, home-cooked style, very affordable. If you write an inquiry to the hotel email, you may not get a prompt reply as the person checking email/in-charge is not there. To sum up, I recommend the place and I would stay here again.

Noise and comfort.

There were workmen using chain saws from 8 am - 6 pm, daily, including Saturday. It was so noisy, even in our rooms. Also, the rooms are just too crammed. perhaps, if they put less things in the room, eg, beds for two rather than three, there would be space to walk around in the room. Finally, there are just too much mosquitoes. Suggest to fog the compound regularly.

Perfect nature escape

Most perfect accomodation on this three weeks road Tag through Thailand. Rooms and restaurant are spotless clean and the garden is simply lovely to look at. Katja and her husband are lovely people and they make sure you will have an unforgetable stay at their resort. Excellent food is served in the restaurant and the big portions are really value for money. Also they will help organize all kinds of tours and activities you wish to participate in or provide information on self-guided options in the area. The sounds and smells of the nearby national park at and the peaceful atmosphere of the surroundings really make you wish you could extend your stay for much longer.

I can't say enough good things about this place!! My boyfriend and I only stayed here for one night, but it was absolutely beautiful. We wish we'd stayed here longer because we ended up loving it so much more than other places we visited, and my boyfriend noted that surprisingly the wifi worked the best here, even compared to the big cities. Kate and Alexander are lovely, Kate cooked us each of our meals (they were AMAZING) and she was around to have food ready at any time (i.e., when we woke up or got back from an excursion). Also, definitely book your excursions with them personally, Alexander will take you out himself (unless you chose a trip that requires a booking through another company, but either way they'll help you set it up). It's way nicer to go with someone that you're comfortable speaking with and who loves to answer questions and has the patience to wait and let you do things at your own pace. This place is incredible, the company is wonderful, the views and sounds of the jungle are breath-taking. It's such a homey place that it's easy to get to know the other people you stay with and enjoy your time together (or on your own if you'd like). We went on an excursion with another family, and we ended up laughing and talking during dinner, sharing drinks and even getting to know some of the other guests. Kate and Alexander pass through and share in the conversation and will tell you everything you want to know about living in Thailand, particularly the jungle.
