American Inn Sumter SC is a scam.

It is a scam. The hotel office is locked and filled with bags of trash and refuse. There was no one on sight and only 1 vehicle in the lot. We walked all around to find someone but no. The vehicles in the picture are covered in spider webs with flat ties. They are just props. We found good and reasonable accommodations at the Baymont.

Only used for shower, but for 37.50, it was fine as long as you don’t mind a door that had been kicked in several times

The room was infested with roaches, bed bugs and mold. Bathroom door was busted. There was no tissue in the bathroom or towels. The sheers were dirty and stained. The mattress was nasty and needed to be thrown out. I have never stayed at a place like this before. We slept in the car then checked out in the morning. I want/need a refund. Also, we have videos of the room.

I pulled into the parking lot and never went in to check in the the place looked run down and people hanging around outside and cars broke down in parking area I took that 60$ lost and I don’t know how they made it onto the Expedia website!

I will never stay her again nor tell anyone to stay. The man at the desk talk to me really nasty. The lock on the door didn't work,the towels was nasty the bedsheets had nasty stains.The refrigerador had big blocks of ice and tape with electical tape.I asked for another room,I was told that it., take or leave. It was late, but to be that nasty was not right.

The only thing good about this place was the person checking me in super nice man , other than that this place shouldn't be open cockroaches were chilling out in the freezer part of the fridge and spilled nasty stuff all in it , cockroaches ran under the beds when we opened the hotel door , 1 towel stained to use in a double room light bulbs missing poor lighting the toilet was gross and nasty , the tub had a ring around it and wouldnt drain filled when water was on the sink had pubic hair in it and was glued the floors were absolutely nasty I don't know how this place is even open at all , we did not stay we gave our key back and left my daughter begged to leave it was so unsanitary and unsafe I just have never seen a hotel so nasty in y 54 years of hotel stays as md I cleaned hotels . Please do not even think about going here . It's a health hazard .
