Charming period property handy to everything in Stratford Upon Avon. Tasteful rooms, appealing common areas (restaurant and bar) a touch of history with modern amenities. Would recommend to anyone wanting accommodation with olde worlde charm. Bathrooms well presented and carpark only a few minutes away

We had an excellent stay at The Townhouse, could not ask for a better location, all the staff were wonderful, excellent to talk with and could not help you enough, especially Joe (The jack of all trades), he is a tremendous asset to the hotel. The unexpected bonus was the 20% discount off our food price for dinner as staying quests, with the meals of excellent quality. We would definitely stay there again if we ever go back to Stratford-Upon-Avon, which is also a beautiful place to visit.

The hotel is a pub with rooms, fortunately our room was far enough away from the pub and behind double doors so we were not disturbed by the revellers and live music. Unfortunately our room was right next to he boiler room, and way too hot till we opened the windows and closed the door to the ante-room with the boiler. Tea, coffee, and free water bottles in the room were great. Cleanliness was OK, but I didn’t want to go looking in the corners. There was a broken air-conditioning unit on one wall with the front hanging off. The location was great, extremely central, and only minutes walk away from other historical points in the town. We didn’t eat at the pub, because it was fairly busy and noisy (but it did have live music!), and there are plenty of options nearby. Breakfast was excellent. Parking was easy at a nearby open-air public car park. Overall I’d stay here again, but check which room you’re getting.

We had a lovely comfortable bed, lovely clean sheets! The breakfast was nice! The staff were attentive. But it hadn’t been cleaned very well at all & the carpets were thread bear & very dirty.. It does need a lot of work, money, time & effort spent on the place, which we were told that those efforts are going to be put in place. We do hope so because we’ve been staying there for over 6 years now & would love it to see brought back to life..

Lovely place to stay. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I was able to have a gluten free breakfast and they stocked gluten free Peroni in the bar too. Definitely recommend a stay here.

The room was a bit shabby, e.g. Dusty, wallpaper peeling and rusty bathroom handles. Also, it is a very old building, so if you're on the ground floor like we were, be prepared to hear upstairs guests creaking about every time they use the bathroom in the night. The bed was comfortable and staff were very nice, but limited breakfast - not very vegetarian or vegan friendly. Overall was nice to stay at for one night.

Perfect location, lovely spacious room with lots of character and the staff were so delightful. The breakfast was delicious and generous and the evening meal was one of the best we had in Stratford. My only complaint was the door of my room was stiff and had a really quirky lock. It was very difficult to open. Also stairs need new carpet.

Lovely few days here while visiting for a conference, bar had loads of choice, tapas meal was lovely and breakfast was great. Room and bed was comfortable. Highlight was the staff... From beginning to end they couldn't do enough and were excellent hosts. We'll be back!

The room at this location was stunning, fully authentic of the 17th century with a modern day feeling. All the staff we engaged with were police and welcoming and made us feel comfortable. It was our first time visiting Stratford for our 10th anniversary and it was a time well spent.
