Despite the name, this is not an inn. It's two rooms for rent above a restaurant. There are no "staff". The owner is available through messaging. The location is fabulous. I strongly encourage anyone thinking of booking to read the 1* reviews before proceeding.

It is a funky boutique hotel perfectly placed for the theatre, restos and shopping. The bed was very comfortable.

The room was very nice. The parking was awful.it was recommended to use the free parking but it was very far when travelling with suitcases. If you are not good with stairs then that might be an issue as well. If not for the parking and stairs I would rate this property higher.

The room is very weathered although clean. We were on the third floor and stairs are narrow and carpeted. The place could use a renovation. The location is excellent.

The Avonlea location was excellent and the room was OK. I have never written a negative review before but felt that we did not get very good service or value at the Avonlea! The entrance staircase was disgusting because the carpeting on the staircase was dirty and soiled. The TV did not work and the support staff said they would fix the TV but never showed up. Funny because I read the same in other reviews of the property. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this business to anyone!

Great property, the room was very spacious and well furnished. Check in was easy and convenient, they sent the door codes on the day of. The property was easy walking distance to restaurants and the theatres. We would definitely stay again!

We stayed at the Avonlea Inn for a Stratford Festival weekend. The room was clean and spacious, and the location was great (about 5 minutes from the Avon Theatre and 5 minutes from the 24-hour Cooper Lot). Check in was easy and convenient.

We had a lovely stay. Perfect location for restaurants, shopping and the theaters. Our room was two stories up, which could be difficult and tiring because of the stairs. But it was also very quiet. Thanks for a great stay.

Perfect location. Modern updated bathroom. Plenty of bathroom towels& toiletries. A written instruction guide for use of tv & ac would have been helpful as could not figure out either one. Access to rooms is via steep stairs so definitely NOT for anyone who has mobility issues. .

The location was excellent and the room was large, a king size bed would have been better in that space. It was a tough hike up 2 flights of stairs with our bags.The codes to the place and the room were a bit confusing until I figured out what button to press after. The room was cold, heat didn’t work and there was no soap in the shower. But we had a great time in Stratford

This location is in the centre of the city and made it easy to get to all the events I was in town for. I didn't realize there was no physical reception, but the owners were very communicative and made it very easy to check-in. The room was nice and prepared/neat, though the trash hadn't been taken out, and there were some stains on one of the walls. But otherwise everything else was great, it was comfortable. Quiet during the evening, and many great food locations nearby.

Lovely spacious room, well appointed with fridge and microwave and a few dishes. Accessible tv but no cable news channels other than clips through YouTube, or at least what we could figure out. Excellent location near restaurants and close to Avon Theatre. Limited help as there is no on site front desk person to for sure assist in an immediate sense, especially at night. My room did not have adequate working blinds to block out the light. However, I liked my room a lot. It was quiet and felt private. It was generally well supplied and had a nice bathroom with walk in shower that worked. It was aesthetically pleasing.

A mostly inclusive, beautiful spot

My partner and I stayed in the Deluxe Room for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our accommodation. When we went, there were toiletries like soap and lotion, as well as other bits like coffee grounds and lots of dishware and cutlery. The room was well air-conditioned and quite spacious, and the location is in good proximity to many shops and restaurants. We were able to easily head back to the inn midday for a quick break and head back out after! The hosts were also extremely accommodating and responsive to all communication. We would highly recommend staying at the Avonlea Inn.
