Spacious room

Very nice stay at the hotel. The room is spacious and has even a kitchen. The sheet cover of the bed was dirty (blood and coffee?) and changed it a day later at the housekeeper. Breakfast is good and delicious in the fancy breakfast room. Nice staff (housekeeping as well as at the reception). Free Parking at the front (or behind) of the hotel. Public transport is around the corner.

Wonderful place for a short stay and even better for an extended stay (big rooms with kitchenette and laundry facilities on site). Short tram ride to downtown… very convenient. Quiet hotel out of the business of downtown. Close to European parliament. Highly recommend. Great breakfast!

The hotel is conveniently located close to the tram station, making it very easy to get around town. Otherwise, the hotel is very busy and quite impersonal. Staff was just going through the motions and showed no genuine hospitality or desire to welcome guests, likely due to the property actually having two hotels on site. There's a laundry machine on site, which was very convenient to refresh clothes if you're coming from an extended trip and the gym on site was well kept. The breakfast area also had good selections.

The hotel was clean, overall we enjoyed our 5 night stay. Having a nearby tram station made getting around strasbourg very convenient with frequent trains. The only negative point was the breakfast, which was chaotic. The breakfast room was too small for the number of guests, with not enough tables to sit, often no cutlery or food items left for long periods, tables not being cleared efficiently and too crowded. On one occassion when we arrived later at 10am, we were informed by the manager that there were no pastries left (breakfast finishes at 10.30am). The hotel would be greatly improved if they addressed the breakfast situation.

Hotel was only 6 months old. Room was well-appointed, clean and spacious. Rooftop lounge areas and breakfast room were a different thing to find, but worked well. More washers and dryers would be a good addition to guest services.

The new hotel, spacious room, rich breakfast, something which is difficult to find in other Strasbourg hotels. Excellent roof top restaurant and bar, very convenient for business trips connected with European institutions. There is no everyday cleaning service of the rooms, which was not mention in the description of the facilities in Expedia.

Considering the fact that Marriot is a 4 star residence, they did not even provide room cleaning service which was very disappointing. When we asked the reception, they said that they only clean the rooms every 3 days and I have never seen a 4 star residence with such conditions. Secondly, they do not have their own parking area for their guests. The paid parking next to them charges 25 euros per night which is ridiculous!

This week I booked several nights. Unfortunately I booked one day too early, so I had two hotels for one night. My fault. All through Expedia, it didn't show up in the system. When I arrived at the hotel they told me that I was expected yesterday. Somewhat surprised, I then had to book an extra night (with a hefty surcharge). No problem solving, nothing proactive for the customer. When I asked if they could do anything about the price or refund something for the unused night, they referred me to Expedia. I do not use breakfast, the room did not need to be cleaned, and I booked the night at around 23:00 / 11:00 pm. So the room would most likely not have been booked. I then contacted Expedia support. He told me that he had tried to call the hotel and had to wait on hold until he have to hung up. Then he wrote an email to the hotel. The hotel supposedly never received the email. Whichever version is true, it is just annoying as a customer. The hotel now suggested to cancel the next time, but 24 hours in advance - I feel a bit cheated. In addition, the bedsheets were dirty. I did not have the nerve to change them in the middle of the night. Rarely have I seen a company that shows absolutely no goodwill. For a minimal concession (e.g. discount for the extra night, voucher or at least an acceptance of the problem) I would be a satisfied customer.

Frühstücksraum ist viel zu klein für das Hotel bzw. für 2 Hotels. Zu wenig Personal und manche waren nicht hilfsbereit. Speisen wurden nicht gut nachgefüllt. Es gibt erst am 4. Tag Zimmerreinigung. Dies ist jedoch bei der Buchung nicht ersichtlich.

Unser Wochenende in dem Hotel war nicht so angenehm. Das Personal generell wirkte getresst, nicht sonderlich freundlich, man fühlte sich nicht wirklich willkommen. Die Rezeption des Residence Inn wir im benachbarten AC Hotel, nicht ideal und entsprechend voll. Unser Fenster im Zimmer war defekt, ließ sich nicht schließen. Wurde zwar zeitnah repariert, sollte aber bei knapp 200 Euro/Nacht nicht vorkommen. Das Frühstück war schrecklich, total überfüllt, man musste in einer Schlange warten, bis man mal einen dreckigen Tisch bzw. Tresenplatz bekam. Das Produkte auf dem Buffet waren meist leer, das Personal kam mit dem Nachfüllen nicht hinterher, es war schrecklich. Wir mussten an einem Tresen frühstücken mangels Platz, ein schönes Wochenende in Frankreich stellt man sich anders vor.
