Love this property, very welcoming staff and well looked after room. Fabulous views and very peaceful and quiet. Definitely only worth a night stay as there isn’t much around and very limited food options. The restaurant was lovely and service was great! The breakfast hamper was perfect!

The view is amazing, but the property is dated now. There are extensive room upgrades going on. Not great if you are staying there at the same time.

Nice sunset location.

We were there for one night and experienced a stunning sunset exactly like their picture. The location is excellent and the restaurant seems to be one of the best in Strahan. The best meal we had in Tasmania. They delivered a breakfast to our room as the restaurant isn't doing breakfast at present, but it was pleasant. There is a nice short bushwalk across the road, worth doing.

Definitely the best place to stay and to dine. Whilst you should not expect a 5 star room the accomodation is well presented and the location is wonderful. Close to walking trails and the waterfront location is superb. The food options are many, even on the set menus nights so don’t be out off by that. The very well presented and perfectly cooked food on offer was our best dining experience in the north western end of Tasmania. The staff are warm, friendly and knowledgable from the check in/out process to the ability to match wine selection to complement your dinner. Second to none in Strahan and the north west of Tasmania.

Our experience at the restaurant was really poor and this affected our feelings for the whole hotel. How this restaurant has received any kind of positive award is beyond belief. The menu was minute and my choice was unavailable. My eventual dish was the “beef & beer pot pie.” This was an oily, fatty mix of minimal amounts of fatty meat, cheese and, yes, oil. The hotel needed a good dusting, unless the cobwebs were thought to contribute to the rustic look. Overall, I would not recommend this place or its restaurant.
