Stayed here during the Eclipse 2026 (aka, no corona but the eerie darkness with the wonderful community of Iceland, so still an otherworldly experience overall). The location of this apartment is AMAZING. Steps away from lots of great tourist activities on the harbor, on the pedestrian walkway leading to Hallgrimskirkja, or most of the city. If you are able to do a lively walk or have family members old enough to bike around you can easily get down to Perlan or western side of Reykjavik too. Apartment was clean, perfectly described, and check-in/out was very very easy and self-sufficient (we didn't arrive until nearly 1 am and there were zero issues, including getting easy street parking <2 blocks away). If you are a non-Icelander, then you should know that 1) the hot water WILL have a relatively strong sulfur smell because it is literally coming straight from the fires of Mt Doom/the Earth's core. It does NOT make you smell after the fact but shower with the bathroom window open and bathroom door closed! and 2) each bed gets 2 personal sized thick duvet/comforter style blankets. These two things were both different than our typical USA hotel experience but it made the stay even more authentic. The place is truly amazing and was perfect for our family of four!

It was a score to find a four bedroom apartment by the harbor, right by so many great shops, restaurants and attractions with parking on the street! You of course pay for these conveniences and location in the rental price. The things we loved : • walking convenience • plenty of beds • a drop zone or “mud room” • a usable kitchen • free wifi • separate toilet from shower room • the exposed stone on the walls was beautiful The things that we didn’t care for: • the place was a SAUNA! we did not sleep because it was SO HOT. we had all of the registers off, windows open but there was no way to turn off the in-floor heating. • exposes insulation and missing wall board above the electric box • fine dust all over the floors in the restroom from the exposed stone • there is no living room or couch or armchairs. Your place to be together is in the kitchen around a table with very hard benches. Would we stay here again? NO. we got the apartment so that we would have a place to sleep. We could not sleep because of the extreme heat. ( and we stayed on a very cool day summer where it rained the entire time)

Mycket bra läge och smidig incheckning. Sovrummen var mycket bra men köket kunde variit bättre. Det saknade mikrovågsugn och kökskranen hade inget varmvatten. Toaletten var ok men kändes sliten. Bäddsoffan var svår att bädda med de lakan som fanns. Värden tog flera timmar på sig att svara på ett meddelande.

Alquilamos un apartamento de 2 habitaciones y estuvimos fenomenal . La pena fue que no pudiéramos disfrutarlo más tiempo porque nos coincidió con el día cultural de Reikiavik y estuvimos todo el día fuera . Ojalá hubiésemos tenido tiempo de pasar otra noche más allí . Era una apartamento en una casa tradicional peciosa en pleno centro de Reikiavik . No puede estar mejor situada y que tenga aparcamiento es un plus aunque como llegamos un día que estaba todo cortado no pudimos usarlo pero no importa . El apartamento , a parte de bonito es muy espaciosa y cómodo con colchones, almohadas y menaje de gran calidad. La comunicación con los propietarios también fue buenísima desde el primer momento resolviéndome algunas dudas y dándome buenísimos consejos . Nos hubiera encantado pasar allí más días !
