“My partner and me stayed during the first horrible heatwave in June, to get some respite in the AC that was featured in the amenities of the property. “We booked a 2 night stay here as a base to take my niece to longleat, which was about 30 mi utes drive. The hotel and grounds were lovely. We had booked a king sized bed, but the allocated room had only a double bed. We complained the following morning, and when we returned that evening our room had been changed and we were offered a complimentary drink and snack each! There were some areas that could do with a little maintenance/attention to details. But all in all we enjoyed our stay here....

“Very good food. friendly staff. Room was not very good, also no air con. it was OK for a short stay but house keeping was not everyday. Pub and restaurant were very good. breakfast was great. just let down by the room. We might have had the worst room in the pub. windows were frosted because opening the windows we found we were above the kitchen so noisy extraction as well. If I stay here again I would avoid room 1. but everything else was very good.”
