On Sunday 23rd August, I arrived with my daughter and granddaughter to the property, I had booked the cottage for them, as we live in the village and they were coming to visit us from Kent. We were greeted by overflowing rubbish bins with flies and an awful smell, which was just to the left of the front door, we entered the property and were hit by a smell of cooking grease and rubbish. The lounge furniture and kitchen was grubby and dusty. To our horror, we discovered that the fridge for the property was in a room off the back of the house that is shared by the adjoining property. And that room too was filled with rubbish, a hoover and a mop and bucket. The door to the outside was blocked with all of this and this was a fire exit! Further inspection of the property we found the bathroom floors filthy (the bath and toilet had been cleaned just not the floors). The cushions on the beds had grass and bits all over them and the beds we found hairs. I contacted the owner immediately and told them the issues, they said they would send someone round to clear the rubbish and clean the cottage. I took my daughter and granddaughter back to our house and we checked later in the evening if anyone had been, they had not. So my daughter and grand daughter slept on our lounge floor. I contacted Skyes Cottages and I received automated responses and then AI responses, still no sign of anything being resolved, we went to see if the rubbish had been moved on the Monday and again on the T
