The hotel has some great amenities around it, mcdonalds right opposite - hungary horse next door and a mini tesco across the road. We stayed here for the races and the staff were fantastic. I met becka and a blonde woman on the reception and both were absolutely fantastic- so helpful, went above and beyond to help us and check us in as early as they could due to us needing to get ready and they were overall lovley people. The rooms were perfect heaters, fans if needed comfortable beds clean and just what we needed and so cheap!!!!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good with standard choice or choice from their hungry horse menu. Room itself was quite tired and could do with an update. Particularly the furniture and bathroom.

Pleasant room, albeit quite dated and rough around the edges. No thrills, but clean, warm and basic amenities like tea, coffee, shampoo. Restaurant attached for breakfast, drinks and meals -> can also order room service from the full Hungry Horse menu which sounds useful, although we didn't use this

I would say it's standard cheap and cheerful! Don't expect A/star prices for D/star prices! It's exactly what it says on the tin, hence why I gave it three out of five! Staff were friendly, the building is dated, hungry horse next door cheap and cheerful food. 👌

The staff were very friendly. The bar and restaurant were closed but we received a message and a phone call explaining this offering to refund us, no issues there. The beds were very comfortable and the room was fairly quiet. It was in a good area too, only issue was the bathroom had some black mould and the plastic water cups were very dirty.
