We stayed two nights in early June ‘26. The rooms left much to be desired. They were worn out and dated. The bathroom definitely needs updating- dirty with peeling paint and the toilet would not flush on our last morning. Not much fun.
There is no AC, so windows are open in every room making for a lot of noise from the parking lot and jets heading into MAN Airport (right in the flight path). Close the window and the room somehow gets extremely hot. Even with the windows open the room had a strange smell of a strong cleaner, but it was still rather dirty.
The hotel itself is very noisy and you can hear conversations in the next room,so keep your voice down if talking and you don’t want to be heard. Any movement from rooms upstairs sounds like cattle walking up there.
The bed was not a quality mattress, even though they have literature in the room trying to sell you that brand of mattress. Very strange.
The restaurant was closed for renovation when we were there (no notice from the hotel), so check before you stay (please, don’t stay) or plan on breakfast at one of the lovely cafes in town.
You can definitely find better accommodation anywhere. We do not recommend the Premier Inn Stockport Central. Not of even 3-star quality. Sorry, we were really hoping for better.
