Absolutely lovely place. It is a little walk to the next metro but still close to everything. Breakfast buffet is amazing, staff is great and helpful. Rooms are small but have everything you need.

Iconic hotel in a former prison setting on a beautiful island just at city’s edge. Staff were great, ever worked well, breakfast was wonderful. The rooms are a bit small but there were good options for personal belongings. Only 15 minute walk from Hornstull Metro station.

The property was a surprise. We didn't know it was a renovated prison. Would like to have known that before, but it had its charms. The hotel was decorated for Christmas, and had a warm feeling. The staff were helpful, the breakfast was nicely displayed and had lots of fresh options. The bar area was quaint. We would recommend to anyone with a sense of adventure.

Great for families

Great idea to convert an old prison into a hotel. The rooms are big, the hotel has a great big area for the buffet breakfast, which is delicious. The location is wonderful as well.

Terrific vibe, once you realize this facility was formerly a prison and has been historically preserved with conscious care and attention. Don’t expect expansive luxurious room sizes and embrace functional simplicity with all creature comforts that are reasonable for the traveler.

Långholmen has become my regular hotel when visiting in Stockholm. Not a boring business hotel. Clean and reasonably priced for anyone who does not mind walking a bit and is happy with a small room (literally, a prison cell). The breakfast quality is one of the best ever, makes me happy every time.

Prisonhotell in a oasis!

We stayed for the night due to a concertvisit. Rooms are tidy, friendly servicepeople. Rooms are quite small, appx 2,5x3 meters plus bathroom and windows a bit high up, gets you an idea really of how it was to be in prison here. Breakfast was great and their museum about the prison really nice and interesting. The area around the hotell is a really nice oasis to stroll around in.
