This hotel is in the heart of Gamla Stan, Stockholm's old town, just a few steps from its main square with restaurants, shops, and the Nobel Museum. It is quirky, filled with memorabilia and antiques related to Lady Hamilton, Lord Nelson's mistress. The rooms are small, but functional. The breakfast is included and excellent. Highly recommended if you are looking for something unique.

Only reason for an average rating was that the room was warm, so kept the windows open. The street below was very noisy and construction outside the hotel started early. Was difficult to sleep from our room. Hotel was clean, breakfast was good, staff very friendly and helpful.

My family of ten stayed here at various times in our two vacation. My stay of four days with my four teenage granddaughters was excellent. We had a medical need at midnight on a Saturday and the night staff arranged a taxi efficiently. We wanted to meet two local friends and they offered us space to visit. We had an early departure and they sent sandwiches with us. Conversations with staff were always fun and helpful. Also, the location was great. There is so much history in the neighborhood. Loved it!

Classic hotel in old town. Great location adjacent to the palace in Gamla Stan with shopping and many places to eat. The area gets crowded when the cruise ships dock but quiets down nicely after the cruisers head back to the ship. The breakfast is top notch. Our complaint was the hotel advertised the room was air conditioned. It "was", but we were told at check in the air conditioner was broken and not fixable during our stay. We got to our room and the temperature was nearly 90 degrees. We stayed one of the three nights on our reservation. That said, even though we prepaid in a "non cancellable" room the hotel staff was very understanding. They allowed us to cancel and fully refunded our money for the two unused nights. Very professional and much appreciated.
