We had a really pleasant stay at hotel Skeppsholmen. It is located in a quiet nice little island, only short walking distance to the city centre. Also our dog was welcome❣️

Best place in Stockholm

This hotel is a true delight. Based on a small island right in the centre of Stockholm, its serving is nonetheless distinctly rural: the gardens are marvellous.. The rooms are stylish, the food is excellent, the staff always charming. This has been our fourth stay, and now we would never consider going to any other hotel in Stockholm. CanI award it six stars?

Excellent design hotel - in a great location to enjoy the city but still feel you are away from it all… Hotel felt more like a beautiful Scandinavian designed apartment building home with many access routes without having to go through reception or busy lobbies all the time. Excellent restaurant with an extensive breakfast buffet and a small but beautifully formed menu for lunch and dinner. Saw this hotel 9 years ago on my first visit to Stockholm and knew i would stay when I returned , it exceeded all expectations.

Wonderful location on a secluded island in the centre of Stockholm. It is about a 15 minute walk to Gamla Stan. The hotel is a historic building in which great care has been taken with the design inside and out. We loved the gardens and it was wonderful to sit outside on the terrace to have breakfast in the glorious summer sunshine. The breakfast was very good- freshly prepared with quality ingredients. Staff were always polite and helpful and our room was clean, quiet and very comfortable- although quite small. This is a lovely hotel and we very much look forward to our next visit.

This is a lovely hotel in a wonderful location. A clever blend of old architecture and contemporary details. Good restaurant, excellent service. Will stay again if I ever get my act together to return to Stockholm.

Beautiful Joel and people.

Magnus was so helpful in telling us how to, where to and when. He explained and set up our bus app which made it so easy for us to get around. All the staff were just wonderful. The owners should be proud of what they have created.

Uniquely sited on Skeppsholmen (ship's island), an island within sight of the old city, within 17th century barracks beautifully reconfigured into exceptional hotel accommodations. Resort like, even though in the middle of the city, connected by a short bridge to the larger city, served by frequent public bus transit with a stop almost at the front door and a ferry dock adjacent. The island is also home to museums and other historical sites. The hotel restaurant serves breakfast (lunch and dinner also), exceptional in its range of choices. Highly recommended, guaranteed to exceed expecations.

Beautiful design without other facilities/ amenities in the property (gym, lounge except restaurant, etc). Hospitality is also not their forte and since I booked the room from Expedia, all attempts of communication took too long and it was not different when I got to the hotel to check in (staff not even asked about my reservation details when I asked for early check in, which was offered via email). Beautiful location however for a short stay in Stockholm I don’t recommend it.

This was my second stay at Hotel Skeppsholmen and it was a far inferior experience than my first. One of the hotel's main attraction is the designs and furniture in the rooms. The designs were neither functional nor aesthetically pleasing. The tv could be turned on by my neighbour's remote (staff finally came to pull the power plug). There was a mini fridge that doubled as a bedside table which felt warm in the evening. The wall light above the headboard was also oddly located. The bathroom had a strange smell. The sheets had a smell too so I made sure to pull those out before checking out to ensure they were changed for the next guests. The view and breakfast is nice but there are plenty of better choices in Stockholm.
