We stayed there for four days. The hotel is in a great location, easy walking distance to attractions and restaurants, and busses and the local ferries. The staff was helpful, and the breakfast was wonderful. Cookies and coffee in the lobby was a pleasant bonus.

On the top of being a great hotel to stay at, it is centrally situated and consequently it provides all the facilities required to discover different faces of Stockholm without struggling with trams or buses. I would highly recommend that address to land on an enjoyable experience 👍😊

I really enjoyed my time at the hotel. The room was clean. The staff was very nice. The hotel is centrally located and the breakfast is among the best breakfasts I’ve ever had at any hotel in my life. I’ve traveled to over 60 countries and all seven continents and the breakfast at this hotel is phenomenal.

The breakfast is amazing! One of our favorites in our travels. The staff was very helpful. The location to the ferry is very convenient. The hotel is old so there were not any outlets in the bathroom and lamp lighting was extremely low in our room. Just quirky side note.

An older property that has been renovated to accommodate today’s travel needs. Location was perfect to explore Gamla Stan. Breakfast was excellent….lots of variety and in a unique area of the hotel. Bed was very comfortable. Staff very accommodating and friendly. If you have any mobility issues however this may not be the hotel for you. There are some stairs and it is an old building so many small step ups. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Gamla Stan. Great location for exploring the Old Town, the Palace, and other areas of Stockholm. Close proximity to the ferries that provide transport to the museums, although the walk to that island is lovely too. Also close to sightseeing boats and I really enjoyed and recommend the 2 hour archipelago cruise. The breakfast spread at this hotel was outstanding and included with the room. I’m already missing the Swedish pancakes and lingonberry jam I had each morning. My only complaint was that there were no caffeine free teas available. I know that’s pretty minor, but because of a health condition I cannot have caffeine and I really missed having a good herbal tea in the morning with breakfast. I will definitely stay at Hotel Gamla Stan the next time I’m in Stockholm!

This was an excellent stay for us—the location couldn’t be better, the breakfast is good, and the staff are lovely. Our room had a preserved wall from the 1600s! The doors open for you when you enter, but you do have to carry your bags up a short flight of entry stairs. An excellent choice.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast-wide variety of options, all well prepared. Excellent location on the waterfront. Room seemed a bit dusty, but otherwise was very clean. Loved the location- beautiful views of harbor and street below. Would have appreciated an electric outlet near a mirror.
