Loved the architecture, and the fact that it was built in the first few years of 1900. The staff was exceptional. Breakfast was included and it was excellent. The gal taking care of the food was very friendly. The nights were warm and later we found that we could have asked for a fan. We just thoroughly enjoyed our stay and your beautiful city.

The hotel has a very relaxed and homely feeling to it with wonderful staff. The bed was comfortable and good showering facilities. Coffee and tea available all day in the downstairs lounge. Hotel Esplanade is a unique hotel. It is wonderfully “dated” with character and comfort. We stayed in a very nice and spacious suite with a harbor view. As we stayed for 5 nights, an improvement would be a dresser to unpack and store clothing more easily. The hotel has a fantastic, friendly and helpful staff. We especially appreciated Joanna at the front desk. The breakfast was quite nice and well taken care of. Great location makes it very highly recommended in every way.
